Chapter 1473 My Turn
Austin smiled slightly to himself. It was hardly noticeable but Ladd noticed and continued with his
aggressive actions.
His words and actions that were meant to provoke Austin were all useless. Austin seemed to have
developed an immunity on his taunting.
It was more sensible to just fight or to kill the enemy.
"Ha! Let''s see if you can still smile once I am done with you!"
As he saw the smile on Austin''s face, Ladd became even more serious. His face looked distressed and
bitter.
"It''s true that members of the Liu n did it!"
Austin said to Belle as he turned his head to face her.
"Oh? The Liu n bought countless participants to challenge our Xiao n! Cheaters! They don''t
know how to y fair."
Belle nodded her head to acknowledge Austin. Her pretty face looked mournful. She felt troubled and
with a heavy heart realized what could happen once the tournament started.
Obviously, the Liu n made preparations to defeat them, but the Xiao n did not arrange any
measures to fight it.
Belle was afraid that if the Martial Arts Tournament went on like this, members of the Xiao n could
all get killed or hurt.
For this year''s tournament the Xiao n sent men with great abilities and potential. It would be a great
loss for them.
"I got it! Killing in the Martial Arts Tournament is allowed,"
Austin said in a low voice so no one else could hear him.
Just now, one member of the Xiao n was killed in the battle ring and the killer was not punished at
all.
"You''re right. Expect more deaths. Many of the participants will not be going home alive after the
Martial Arts Tournament.
Since they allow killing, many participants will not bother to put on a show and disy their abilities and
skills.
Everyone will go for the kill! You get noticed right away and will stand out from the pool of participants.
That''s the goal remember? To be noticed and be selected by the sects.
It''s part of the tradition, not only in our Smnia Kingdom but also in all the kingdoms of the whole the
East Maind. They allow killings during the Martial Arts Tournament,"
Belle exined to him.
"Normally, just a few participants die during the tournament. Because as long as the participant admits
defeat, his opponent should not kill him.
Unless... The two sides are sworn enemies. The game changes. No one stops, unless an opponent is
dead.
The Liu n''s behavior is uneptable. I must avenge our Xiao n!"
Belle said through clenched teeth.
"Ha! It is easy. Killing is allowed remember?" Austin said grinning.
"Belle, don''t worry about it. I remember the faces of the people around Ladd, including the participants
from the Liu n.
As long as I see them at the tournament, none of them will be going home alive!"
Austin''s gaze turned serious. He was a ruthless man and his eyes showed it.
Austin was aware that the Liu n nned to kill the members of the Xiao n at the Martial Arts
Tournament. They also arranged someone powerful to fight against him as well. It was part of a n to
revenge the death of Rogan Liu, whom he killed in the ck-wind Beast World!
The Liu n had the treacherous n, but Austin won''t let them get away with it. He intended to fight
back and protect the Xiao n.
Austin was not someone you could take for a ride.
Belle noticed the change in Austin''s eyes. There was something there that she had not seen before.
It made her realize something.
She knew it looked like Austin was merely at the preliminary stage of Semi-holy Realm. But she
witnessed something different at the ck-wind Beast World. Austin had killed the cultivators at the
Holy Realm or even at the Semi-emperor Realm. He acted with so much power, and he was as strong
as those at the premium stage of Primal Holy Realm.
Maybe, Austin could help the members of the Xiao n channel their anger during the tournament.
They could use Austin''s strategy to defeat the Liu n.
Belle stared at Austin as she tried to figure out his skills and power. Austin himself was quiet as
something in the surrounding caught his attention.
On the east side of the fighting arena was a luxury bleacher that floated in the sky. It was covered by
clouds but would appear from time to time. It looked mysterious and seemed to be ying hide.
This bleacher was very strange. It driftedpletely in the sky like it was hanging from an invisible
string. It was sky-high and hovered above the fighting arena. People looked down and was watching
the fightfortably.
The seats were grand looking and figures with extremely powerful aura sat there.
In the midst of all the powerful aura were three seats. It gave off a distinct kind of aura and it seemed to
be the most important ce. Three imposing figures sat there. They were all middle-aged men with
stately clothes and majestic aura.
Each of the three figures gave off powerful aura different from the surrounding people. Layers of light
surrounded them, and some air flows containing vital energy force seemed to protect them. The air
around them had the qualities of a vital energy force and it formed a void rarely seen bymon
people.
The three middle-aged men sat in the most important ce because of their identities. They were
representatives sent by the three holynds of the East Maind to Smnia Kingdom.
The three holynds had extraordinary power and existed long before the other sects emerged. They
were superior among the other ns and sects.
Aside from the three middle-aged men, the bleacher was filled with other powerful people. They wore
elegant clothes, and each gave off powerful aura.
These people were mostly sent by therge sects of the East Maind to Smnia Kingdom to
witness the Martial Arts Tournament.
They were on a lookout for young outstanding cultivators that showed great potentials. The aim was to
recruit highly skilled cultivators that they couldter train and develop into powerful disciples of their
ns. It was a daunting task since the arena below them was filled with powerful cultivators from
different sects.
At the corner of the bleacher, were the special ones.
One wore an imperial crown and was dressed in an elegant gown embroidered with dragon patterns.
He stood with authority and was surrounded by over ten dignified looking officials.
He was the king of the Smnia Kingdom.
However, where he was seated did not reflect royalty. The king of the Smnia Kingdom was not given
the superior position in the bleacher.
On the contrary, he was at a low position.
Inside the Smnia Kingdom, they considered the king as the ruler of the kingdom.
Butpared with the three holynds and thergest sects who were practically real "rulers" in the
East Maind, the king of the Smnia Kingdom was considered as a nobody and was of no
importance.
He was a paper tiger.
A weaklingpared to the three holynds. They could defeat a powerful kingdom like Smnia with
a wave of their hands. Defeating hundreds or even thousands of such kingdoms at the same time was
easy as pie to them. Sects and ns bowed down to them out of fear and admiration.
The king of the Smnia Kingdom could not even sit close to them at the bleacher.
He came to witness the tournament and not to mingle with the representatives of the three holynds
and therge sects.
On the left side of the king, stood a distinct looking man. He was slouching but had big sharp eyes. He
too wore elegant clothes. He was Rodolfo Liu, the grand marshal of the Smnia Kingdom.
On the right side of the emperor, was a kind looking man. He wore three wisps of long beard that
glittered in the sun. He was no other than Belle''s grandfather, the Prime Minister of the Smnia
Kingdom.
He had been watching the fight silently.
Members of the Xiao n who fought on the first round of the tournament was either dead or badly
injured. He sent highly skilled men to join the tournament and this bothered him greatly. Obviously,
there was something going on. A plot had been made to destroy the Xiao n at the tournament.
As he thought about it, there was only one obvious answer for the Prime Minister. It must be Rodolfo
Liu, the grand marshal. Only he had the motive and capability to plot something as evil.
He once fought against Rodolfo. They had hated each other for thousands of years.
"Rodolfo Liu, how could you do this?"
As he witnessed the death and the suffering of his members, the Prime Minister of Xiao n was
suddenly filled with rage. He shouted at Rodolfo, unmindful of the people around him.
"Ha-Ha! Waldron Xiao. Don''t be like that. Who knows what will happen during the fight. We allow
killings during the tournament, remember? People are meant to die today. You have to ept the fate
of your people. If the members of the Xiao n cannot ept this reality, you may go ahead and leave
the Martial Arts Tournament,"
Rodolfo said smiling coldly.
"You! All right! Rodolfo Liu, if that''s how you want it!"
Waldron, the Prime Minister red at Rodolfo. His face turned red with anger. He was trying hard not
to throw an arrow towards Rodolfo.
"Be quiet! Stop making noises! We''re watching the game! If you want to fight, go down to the fighting
arena! We will watch you from here!"
One of the three distinguished men who was seated at the center shouted at the Prime Minister and
Rodolfo.
Both Waldron and Rodolfo were frightened and decided to keep quiet on their own corners.
The people from the three holynds were so powerful, and they knew they would better not to annoy

them on a public gathering such as the tournament.
At the fighting area, an intense fight was going on.
The first round of fight had ended.
It signaled the beginnings of the second round.
The jade slips started to light up from the participant''s hands. It turned bright yellow to highlight the
name of the participants. People were able to see it from the bleachers.
Buzz!
The jade slip in Austin''s hand turned bright yellow.
A number appeared. It was 140.
"Ha-ha! It''s my turn!"
Austin said with a smile. He was excited and was eager to show off his skills.
Caroline offered him her hand like a true queen. Austin held her hand gently and gave it a squeeze to
assure her. "Be careful," she told him.
"Go for it!"
Belle said to Austin.
Austin nodded his head and then moved swiftly towards the direction of the battle ring. The number
140 glowed on his hand.
