Chapter 1418 I Don''t Believe It
Lyman had resided at the headquarters of the Magic Hand Sect, instead of joining the Southern
Alliances Army.
So he didn''t see Austin in person.
But he had seen Austin''s portrait many times before this and was naturally quite familiar with Austin''s
appearance.
Evidently upon seeing Austin, Lyman immediately recognized him. Austin recently had enjoyed a high
reputation on the South Continent.
Lyman was a little taken aback to see Austin, because he hadn''t invited Austin.
Lyman personally felt that Austin had intruded into his territory.
Other than Lyman, the senior members of the other sects also recognized Austin.
There was a dead silence all around and the air was filled with awkwardness.
Everyone simply stared at Austin in surprise.
"Wee, wee, Commander Austin; our Magic Hand Sect is made brighter by your presence!
Please take a seat and make yourselffortable!"
Lyman tried to normalize the situation because as the leader of the Magic Hand Sect, he could handle
it easily.
At first, Lyman did get surprised at Austin''s arrival. But now he was proud about this sudden twist in the
course of the events.
Austin was famous now. Lyman took his arrival as a good sign.
''Well, you are a master indeed. So what? Does it make a difference?
I am still the topmost pill refiner on the South Continent. You have no other option but to team up with
me!
No warrior can even dare to disrespect me at any point of time, ''
Lyman thought to himself, self-satisfied.
"Arrange a seat for Commander Austin! Quickly, work fast!"
Lyman quickly let out themand. He looked extremely energetic.
"Lyman, you don''t have to be so formal with me.
I am just here for the fun,"
Austin said tly.
Austin absolutely hated Lyman from the very core of his heart. All he wanted to do was to tear Lyman
into a million pieces and finish him off as soon as possible.
But his n was greater. He first wanted Lyman to fall from grace and be dis reputed in front of
everyone. He was waiting patiently for the right point of time.
Austin was unnaturally cold, which was observed carefully by Lyman. He thought it was just Austin''s

snobbery that was being disyed.
''Huh! Boy, how dare you put on that air in my presence?
If you ask me to help you refine elixirs next time, I will give you a piece of my mind, '' thought Lyman.
Lyman believed the reason why Austin came here without invitation was because Austin wanted to
form an alliance with him and be his subordinate.
He was the top-level pill refiner on the South Continent. Lyman was confident that Austin would
obviously ask for his help sooner orter.
Lyman was determined that he would put up airs when Austin would beg for his elixirs.
In a short time, a disciple of the Magic Hand Sect finished arranging seats for Austin and Godwin.
The senior members of the other sects all greeted Austin cordially and weed him to join them.
Due to Austin''s great influence, no one showed the audacity to neglect him or look down upon him.
Most of people on the tform were at the Semi-emperor Realm. And part of them had once joined the
Southern Alliances Army, so they all came up to Austin and greeted him.
Austin disliked and was awkward in handling such situations, but he had to present himself politely and
ept the greetings.
Eventually, about an hourter, it was mid noon.
It was time for Lyman to ept his new disciple formally.
In just some minutes, the noisy atmosphere was reced by a pin drop silence.
All people looked expectantly towards the tform.
The ceremony would take ce on the tform.
Several disciples of the Magic Hand Sect moved an incense burner, a big herbal pot and a huge
portrait onto the tform.
There were three joss sticks in the incense burner. They were as thick as the arm of a muscr grown
man.
These things were essential for the ceremony to bepleted.
It was in fact a simple process.
Austin vaguely knew their utilities.
The herbal pot represented the Magic Hand Sect. Refining pills was fundamental for the Magic Hand
Sect.
One could see a man in ck robes with white hair on the portrait. It was Angus!
A sneer broke out on Austin''s lips. Lyman put up Angus''s portrait for the ceremony.
It seemed that he respected Angus as he was the founder of the Magic hand Sect.
But in fact, Lyman was the one who had secretly nned to ughter Angus and had almost achieved
it.
This proved Austin''s point. He knew that Lyman was in reality a hypocrite.
Godwin, Julius and Peter also sneered along with Austin.
"It is twelve o''clock now. The ceremony begins right now!"
an elder of the Magic Hand Sect announced from the tform.
The elder, who was at the medium stage of Holy Realm, was a superior elder of the Magic Hand Sect.
Bang, bang, bang, bang!
As the elder finished his words, there were fireworks booming around the square. The fireworks shot
into the sky, making it colorful and magnificent. It was a beautiful sight.
After about half an hour, the booming sound of fireworks finally stopped.
"Now, let us worship our sect''s founder,"
the superior elder continued his speech.
The young man in ck, who had sat beside Lyman, stood up and walked up to the portrait.
There was an incense burner ced in front of Angus''s portrait.
With a wave of his hand, the superior elder sent out his vital energy force and lit the three arm-sized
incenses in a jiffy.
"Trahan, this is our Magic Hand Sect''s founder, Angus.
Anyone who wants to join in our Magic Hand Sect has to kneel before our sect''s founder!
Now you are going to formally acknowledge our sect leader as your master for the future. Our leader is
the disciple of our sect''s founder. It means that you are going to learn our sect''s founder''s secret skills
and honor that. So you should kowtow our sect''s founder first and pledge allegiance,"
the superior elder uttered in a clear and loud voice.
"I understand,"
Trahan replied politely.
He then knelt three times and kowtowed nine times before Angus''s portrait.
Besides, while he was doing it, he said that he would be loyal to the Magic Hand Sect and work hard
for the bright future of the Magic Hand Sect. He pledged that he would never betray his sect ever.
"Now, kneel before your master,"
the superior elder ordered after Trahan finishing kowtowing before Angus''s portrait.
Trahan instantly kowtowed to Lyman as per the order.
At the same time, a disciple of the Magic Hand Sect walked up to them with a teacup in his hand.
"Master, enjoy this beauty cup of tea, please!"
Trahan offered the same to Lyman while holding the teacup in his hand.
Lyman didn''t ept it immediately though.
"Trahan, once you formally acknowledge our sect leader as your master, he will be your master forever!
You will have to respect and honor him forever from now on.
Remember, never betray your master and never disgrace the sect or y with its reputation.
Otherwise, even God won''t forgive you. And our Magic Hand Sect won''t let you get away with your life
easily. You will have to pay dearly.
Trahan, can you promise this kind of loyalty to your master and our sect forever?"
the superior elder suddenly asked loudly and seriously, almost as loud as a p of thunder.
Trahan got rmed by this loud noise.
"I promise I will!" replied Trahan whileposing himself.
He hade back to his sense and understood what was happening.
However, someone uttered, at the same moment
"Well?
If someone in your Magic Hand Sect betrays his master and do something to ruin the sect''s reputation,
will you have the courage and nerve to kill him?
I don''t think you can do that."
All of a sudden, everyone could understood that the voice was filled with taunt and sneers.
It wasn''t loud, but it was enough to attract the attention of everyone present over there.
