Chapter 1361 This Man Is Familiar To Me (Part One)

Chapter 1361 This Man Is Familiar To Me (Part One)

The battle in the Mysterious Sky City had severely shaken the spirits and power of the demon army.

They had suffered at least five hundred thousand casualties. That was a catastrophic number.

Very fewmon warriors had survived. Those who had managed to fleeprised mainly of a

handful of demon semi-emperors and some other demons at a lower cultivation base.

The human warriors on the other hand, were ecstatic. They had won a war after almost losing it even

before its beginning and that was something that didn''te along very often.

But during those celebrations, one bad thing happened out of the blue.

The very next day after the war, rumor spread that Austin had died during the war.

Several leaders of the Southern Alliances Army who had reached the Semi-emperor Realm suddenly

dered to the public that Austin had indeed been killed in battle. What was worse, they demanded

that the A. L. Army should be disbanded immediately and all its members should join the Southern

    Alliances Army.

Such fake rumors weren''t the only dirty means they tried. There were threats made, and cajolery

shoved down the A. L. Army soldiers'' way to bring them around. In fact, some warriors of the A. L.

Army were even subdued eventually. They bowed out of the A. L. Army and became a member of the

    Southern Alliances Army.

However, there was still arge proportion of the A. L. Army who insisted that Austin was still alive.

They also vowed that they would never withdraw from the A. L. Army, and would continue pursuing its

    cause.

Their actions irritated the leaders a lot! In a fit of rage, they increased their threats and finally, when the

warriors wouldn''t budge from their stance, the leaders imprisoned them all.

As if that wasn''t enough, warriors of the A. L. Army were killed in the course of their conflict. This loss

of life was more painful than that which had urred during the war.

"And that is the whole story,"

Earl looked at the man nervously after he had narrated the whole thing for him.

"Hang on! All leaders? But what about Godwin, Peter, and Julius? They are of my supporters and also

leaders in the headquarters of the Southern Alliances Army. Do you know about them? What are their

    attitudes toward this matter?"

Austin enquired after thinking for a second.

Godwin had been Austin''s master and would always support him. Peter and Julius also seemed well

    disposed towards him.

More importantly, those three were quite powerful. They were semi-emperors and their opinions

mattered quite a lot in the decision making process.

Also, Austin simply didn''t believe that they would stand by and watch the warriors of the A. L. Army

being forced into something they didn''t want to by everyone else.

"You are right, my lord. The three grand old men you mentioned are indeed strongly opposed to the

dissolution of the A. L. Army. But what can be done. They are only three, after all.

It is said that they almost had a falling out with the other leaders in the Southern Alliances Army

    because of this matter.

However, it has been an eventfulst few days. Something happened out of the blue. We could tell it

was big because it caused those three men to suddenly leave the Mysterious Sky City together and

    disappear.

And now, there is no one who can stand up for the A. L. Army in the city anymore.

It was only after their departure, that the remaining members of the A. L. Army were finally thrown in

    prison,"

    Earl answered respectfully.

"Oh? Really? They all left the Mysterious Sky City at the same time? You said something happened.

Do you have any idea what it was? Why did they leave?"

    Austin was surprised and asked.

It must have been something really big indeed that forced Godwin, Peter, and Julius to leave the

Mysterious Sky City and leave his supporters behind. Otherwise, the situation would have been far

    better.

"I think I do have an idea. The woman who was working for you, the one who belonged to the evil

shadow race and was called the queen; she was captured by some semi-emperors from the Heavenly

    Dragon Holy Kingdom.

Chances are, they left to save her,"

Earl replied cautiously, afraid that he would anger Austin and then where would he be!

    ''The queen was captured!''

Austin was stunned and could almost not believe it. If Earl wasn''t so afraid of Austin, he''d think that the

    former was pulling his leg.

"The Heavenly Dragon Holy Kingdom again!" Austin took a long breath.

They had been troubling him for quite a while now. Austin could tell that the queen must have been

captured because of his previous feud with the eleven sectors in the Heavenly Dragon Holy Kingdom.

They must have been trying to get to him through her.

And now, with the rumor that Austin had been killed by the demon race ancestor spread around

everywhere, the eleven sects and ns must have vented their anger out on the queen. It was the

spite they felt against Austin which the poor queen was suffering, with her enemies in the mistaken

belief that Austin had been killed.

It looked like almost everyone believed the rumor was true, and that Austin really had died. Only that

would have encouraged them enough for them to start putting their fingers on the people around him.

Austin''s face clouded over and Earl noticed that. He was scared.

"That''s all I know, my lord. I''m not in on the act and I''m innocent, I swear! Please let me go!"

Earl begged when he saw Austin''s sullen face. He knew how powerful Austin was and was so scared

of him that he felt as if the strength in his legs had gone away. Suddenly, they did give way and he fell

    down in a kneeling position.

He knew that if Austin wanted him to die, then crushing his body into pieces would be as much effort as

crushing an ant for Austin. The guy was seriously and ridiculously overpowered.

    "Stand up,"

Austin uttered as he slightly waved his hand, sending out a soft vital energy force. Somehow, instead of

harming him, the force seemed to help Earl, who found that his body got up and finally he could stand

    still.

Bang! A loud bang echoed around them.

And immediately around them, a dozen divine vital energy crystals and bottles of elixirs appeared out

of nowhere right in front of Earl''s eyes.

"Since you have told me everything you know truthfully, these are for you.

You can keep them. But remember, once you get out, don''t tell anyone you''ve seen me. If you do, I will

know and I will find you. Understood?"
