Chapter 750 Meeting The Lord Of The City At Last (Part Two)
As expected, Violet knew the answer.
"Teleporting across a short distance? Space Teleportation? Well, this little guy never ceases to surprise
me,"
Austin eximed. He was quite impressed.
"Quite a fantastic beast, isn''t it? By the way, Master, do you remember the senior we met at the Crystal
Cave, who called himself Cuinchy?"
Violet suddenly asked.
"Of course! Why?"
It didn''t take Austin much effort to recall the man and the things that had happened back there. Among
all the things, he remembered clearly that the Cuinchy had called himself "an experienced and
respected master in the world of thieves."
"Well, I want to tell you that Cuinchy had roughly the same skill. ording to the gnome, Cuinchy had
actually torn the space apart and left the Crystal Cave through the crack.
In other words, he was equipped with a kind of spatial force that helped him control space. Simr to
the gift that the gnome has. It is called the teleportation ability. Master, it does seem to be more
mysterious and very powerful.
With this kind of ability, one can travel through space, without tearing the space apart. The space will
be left unscathed, and the gnome''s whereabouts are thus concealed from all."
Violet went on to borate further about the gnome''s ability.
"Ah! That sounds really interesting," Austin said, nodding his head thoughtfully.
It was the first time that Austin heard about the controlling of space and that sort of things. He was very
intrigued by this revtion.
Truly, he found himself yearning for this kind of ability. Whether it was the spatial force or the
teleportation ability, he decided that he must do some research about them when the chance came for
him and try to acquire either one of those abilities.
"Did the gnome just say that something very interesting is happening up there? Come on, let''s follow it
and join the fun," Austin said.
In fact, what Austin really cared about, was the altar that the gnome had just mentioned.
The moment they stepped into the pce, Austin could sense that the oppression on his spiritual
sense had be heavier than when he was outside in the city.
Out there, the range of Austin''s spiritual sense had been shrunk to about 4, 000 meters.
But from the time he had entered the pce, the range had narrowed down and was no more than 800
meters!
This also meant that Austin''s spiritual sense had be weaker. Probably weaker than even that of
the gnome''s, at present! Otherwise, he would have been the first one to sense anything that was
happening far away, not the beast!
Considering it from another perspective, Austin realized that the little thing had made remarkable
progress this time. It was not an exaggeration to say that it had totally transformed itself.

They quickened their steps, and finally came across the spot after walking for another 1, 300 meters or
so.
A huge altar appeared before them, and the most eye-catching thing about it was the hundreds of big
pirs standing on it.
It was strange as the altar was covered by arge curtain of greyish fog. The space in the fog seemed
to be blocked by many thick ck chains. As the fog moved slowly, the chains appeared indistinctly.
The altar was clearly not deserted, for they could hear all kinds of bustling soundsing from behind
those chains. Taking a closer look at it, Austin could see arge number of ghosts and about forty
cultivators who were at least at the Imperial Realm level.
"I was wondering where the soul-consuming fog had gone. It was all over in the city before, and then it
vanished. So, here it is, all gathered within that altar," Austin murmured as he studied the environment
surrounding them.
Among other things, he found the greyish fog quite familiar, and he recognized it after a few seconds.
Then he turned to look at the men on the altar. "Gee, I know these guys, too," he said.
There was Malick, a strong Master Realm warrior of the Sky Sect. There were three more men who
were the leaders of the Flying Fish Sect, Iron Palm Sect and Evergreen Sect respectively. Apart from
them, there were some disciples from those three sects.
"Howe they are here, too?" Violet asked with surprise.
She and Tessa recognized Malick at the same time. After all, he was the one chasing them, not long
ago. That was when they ran into this weird city and got trapped. Hiding from that man and his team
had brought them to this strange ce.
But the strange thing was, Malick and those men from the other three sects didn''t notice them at all.
Austin had walked close enough to see their faces clearly, but they acted like Austin didn''t even exist.
This was due to the many illusion arrays around the altar, which had effect on the people inside, but not
on those outside. It was like a one-way ss around that altar.
So even though Austin could see quite clearly the things inside the altar with the help of his spiritual
sense, it was not the other way round.
Contrarily, the people caught in the altar could only see the constantly emerging illusions, rather than
anyone who hade to them outside the arrays.
Before Austin could figure out what exactly was happening inside the arrays, a voice broke into his
Soul Sea.
It was Jim!
"Oh look! What we have here! I didn''t expect that you''ll find us so soon, young man," he said with a hint
of sneer in his voice.
"You know, I met a little beast just now. Is it your friend? Ah! Look at your face. I think I''ve guessed it
right. It would be good if you discipline it a little! That will be great help. I hate to say it, but it screwed
up my business, and I''m quite unhappy about it."
''What does he mean ''screwed up his things''? Wait! Where is the gnome, and what has it done?'' Austin
thought fast.
While Austin was still thinking over Jim''s words, something appeared on one of those big pirs on the
altar. It was an enormous shadow, which was bing clearer and clearer as he stared at the stone
pir.
His powerful spiritual sense felt something immediately. The spiritual force from that shadow was
familiar.
''This must be the shadow of the castn of this city!''
Soon all of it clicked in ce for him.
After all that they had been through, Austin had finally got a chance to meet the lord of this strange and
dangerous ce.
