    They tried several paths which they thought would lead them out of the city. But after walking for four


    hours, they were still back at the same ce. They were at a dead end.


    Austin tried experimenting with several techniques but they were unsessful. He even attempted to


    fly but failed. With his strength and skills the most he could do was fly five meters above the ground


    and every time he would be pulled back to the ground by a strong force.


    Tessa, Dahlia and Faye were worse off.  Apart from being able to disy their bodily movement skills,


    they had difficulty even just flying two meters above the ground.


    Meanwhile, Austin also tried to find some rtively tall buildings on both sides of the street, that he


    could climb and look over the city to find a way out.


    But to his disappointment, the tallest building he could find was three-story, and most of them were two-


    story. When he reached the top, his sight was limited to only ten streets from where he was standing.


    What made it worse was that the city was shrouded in clouds. The clouds moved around, blocking his


    vision. It was impossible for him to have a panoramic view of the whole city.

    steady themselves since they felt as if they were hanging upside down.


    After a while, everything around became stable and quieted down.


    "What''s going on? Why are we back here again?"


    Dahlia screamed in shock as she nced around.


    The four were not in the ce where they had been.


    They stood in the middle of the street and despite the streets looking the same, they recognized that


    they were in the spot where Austin had refined souls.


    There was an inn on the side of the street, and the door was open so they could see what was inside


    clearly. While Austin was drawing spiritual energy from souls back then, Tessa, Dahlia and Faye always


    sat in the lobby on the first floor.


    They were all familiar with the ce.
