Chapter 670 The Tiger Mercenary Team
Austin rented a room in a manor as temporary amodation in the Dragon City.
This manor was built in a secluded and quiet ce. Austin didn''t want to attract any unnecessary
attention in this strangend. Hence, he had decided to live in this house despite its high rent.
The middle-aged servant led Austin to his room and then turned around to leave. His mannerisms were
condescending. He looked down upon every cultivator from remote and weak empires. That was why
he wasn''t keen on talking to Austin.
Luckily, that was just what Austin wanted. He hoped that this servant would nevere and bother him
till he left the manor.
The environment inside the manor was beautiful and attractive. Exotic flowers and rare herbs could be
seen everywhere, all of which spread their fragrance around. There was a smallke at the center of
the manor. The extremely clean water in it reflected the blue sky and white clouds above clearly.
Sitting by thekeside, Austin enjoyed the beautiful sight around the ce: vines twined around trees,
while flowers flourished in light breeze. Austin felt refreshed and his mood was instantly lightened.
"What a wonderful ce! Looks like I did make a good choice,"
Austin whispered in awe. Although he had spent arge amount of vital energy crystals on this
amodation, after looking at the beauty around him, he felt it was well worth.
A good-looking female servant delivered a tray of delicious dinner to Austin when twilight had
descended.
The night gradually wore on after he finished dinner.
A full moon slowly appeared from behind nearby mountains, casting a soft light in all the directions. The
moonlight gently caressed the entire manor and gave it an aura of mysterious elegance. The sounds of
streaming water and chirping insects reached Austin''s ears, and the stillness of the night air
entuated their sound. Everything was too beautiful to be described.
Austin sat quietly in a lotus position inside his room and practiced the Golden Sun Scripture as usual.
Austin had always practiced the Scripture diligently. This had helped him make significant leaps in
improving his martial arts refinement.
After reaching the medium stage of Sky Realm, Austin still continued practicing the Golden Sun
Scripture everyday, yet there was no sign that he would soon get any further improvement in his vital
energy cultivation.
Nevertheless, he understood that this could not be rushed. During the past year, he had improved
drastically from level two of the Energy Gathering Realm to the present medium stage of the Sky
Realm. Such a rapid upgradation was so incredible that few in this world could repeat his miracle.
Now that he had gone through such a smooth process, Austin did not rush to attain a higher level in his
vital energy cultivation. Instead, he decided to slow down a bit and consolidate his cultivation base he
had acquired.
Anyway, it was well known to any cultivator that a forced improvement would only exert a bad influence
on any future improvement.
On the other hand, Austin realized that it was a great opportunity for him to improve his bodily
refinement.
During his adventure in the Holy Tomb of the Veritable Demon Sect, Austin had consumed a Magical
Beast Elixir and a drop of gold blood which he had discovered purely by luck. He had managed to
absorb half of the power contained in that gold blood, which endowed him with a tremendous power
strong enough to lift things of 360, 000 pounds in weight.
Moreover, he could still capitalize on his good fortune as the effect of the Magical Beast Elixir couldst
for a full month.
That was to say, he could improve his bodily refinement to arge extent by consuming more blood
essence from demonic beasts and diabolic beasts in the following month.
It was not easy to find a valuable treasure like the Magical Beast Elixir that could strengthen their

bodies so quickly. Austin obviously didn''t want to waste this rare opportunity.
He thought for a while and decided to rest for several days in the Dragon City. After that, he nned to
inquire about the ces where demonic beasts and diabolic beasts were abundant. By killing those
beasts, he would be able to continue with his practice of the Beast Energy-extracting Skill.
The skill required him to kill those beasts which were above eighth level and that was equivalent to
human cultivators at the Sky Realm.
Austin hade to the Heavenly Dragon Holy Kingdom with the task of finding Ariadne from the Magic
Hand Sect. He wanted to convey Angus''sst words to his daughter.
Now that he had consumed the Magical Beast Elixir, Austin decided to concentrate on practicing the
Beast Energy-extracting Skill in the first month. After all, this was a chance that he might not get again.
After making full use of the Magical Beast Elixir, he would finally go and find Ariadne of the Magic Hand
Sect.
As he nned for his movements during the following month, Austin wondered how much force he
would be able to acquire by practicing the Beast Energy-extracting Skill.
He was excited for the uing journey and looked forward to it.
Austin left the manor after resting for two days. He walked along the streets in the Dragon City and
tried to gather as much information as possible.
The weather was cool and pleasant, and the streets were packed with pedestrians and endless
streams of horses and carriages. Austin slowly made his way through the crowd and sighed in
resignation with the hustle and bustle of this foreign city.
He strolled down different streets andnes to get familiar with the city. After drawing a general map in
his mind, he decided to inquire about the possible areas where demonic beasts and diabolic beast
could be found.
Lost in thought about his strategy, Austin found himself in arge square that looked like a recruitment
area.
Many cultivators gathered at this ce in search of some luck, while some forcespeted with each
other to recruit new members.
Most of the cultivators talked loudly in groups as they nced through the hospitality tents of those
forces. The recruiters arranged desks under their tents and hung up their brands. Their staff bawled
loudly to attract attention of the cultivators passing by. The busy square was an ensemble of all kinds of
noises.
Out of curiosity, Austin walked up to the crowd and decided to have a look.
"Tiger Mercenary Team recruits potent cultivators now! We will go into the Sunset Mountain and hunt
beasts there! We have befitting rewards and highmissions for every member! One thing to be
noted: we want only cultivators who are no weaker than the medium stage of Sky Realm!"
"Myriad Elixir Room needs cultivators to apany our grade-four pill refiners to collect herbs in the
Longevity Mountain! We want fifty cultivators who have attained at least the medium stage of Sky
Realm. After thepletion of the mission, our pill refiners will refine a pill for every participant for free
as a reward! Don''t waste your luck if you are qualified and interested!"
"Iron Palm Team is in want of new members!
Every new member will join our adventure in the Mysterious Ancient Lake and explore the ancient
relics there!
It''s said that there are many surprises and opportunities for cultivators in those ancient relics! Come
and join us! This might change your fate!"
Austin walked past the tents as he checked out their recruitment contents. Like he had heard, most of
these forces were recruiting cultivators to hunt beasts, seek treasures, collect herbs or explore ancient
relics. Some were even looking for helpers to rob mines or murder enemies.
Essentially, this square was a ce where different forces recruited idle cultivators to carry out all kinds
of tasks.
Most applicants for these jobs were independent cultivators who didn''t belong to any sect or force and
usually had a need for money and resources.
Austin thought for a while and stepped towards the tent of the Tiger Mercenary Team. He knew this
organization was recruiting cultivators to hunt beasts in the Sunset Mountain, and that was in line with
his intentions.
Moreover, this would save him the trouble of asking around where he could find such beasts.
Before Austin, many cultivators had already crowded around the tent of the Tiger Mercenary Team and
were inquiring for details.
Austin stood at the end of the line and patiently observed the developments.
The receptionist was a plump and coquettishdy who was wearing a low-cut garment. She was
revealing arge amount of her cleavage and was duly attracting many eyes.
Her perfume filled the air and the strong scent tickled Austin''s nostrils.
Many cultivators in the line kept swallowing hard as they eyed up thedy from time to time. In fact,
they hade to this tent with the only intention of getting to talk to her from close quarters.
The several cultivators in front of Austin talked in whispers andughed lustfully as their gazes
asionally locked on thedy''s attractive cleavage.
After some embarrassed moments of waiting, Austin finally reached the front of the queue.
Surprise visibly shed through thedy''s eyes as she looked at this seemingly weak young man who
was no more than twenty years old.
After all, most of the applicants were robust and sturdy in their appearances. Compared to them, Austin
looked extremely weak and fragile.
Thedy couldn''t help chuckling with contempt and rolling her eyes before she addressed Austin
casually.
"Hi, boy? What are you here for? Maybe something about... joining our Tiger Mercenary Team?"
"Err, well... Actually, I want to know something about the Sunset Mountain at first," Austin said
awkwardly.
Anyway, this was a ce for recruitment. He felt somewhat embarrassed at bothering thedy to get
some basic information about where they were heading.
Despite his embarrassment, Austin still couldn''t help but nce at thedy''s attractive figure. Like any
other man, he felt difficult to suppress his desire.
"Aha! What a cute boy! Don''t mind it. I don''t me you."
Noticing the hot glint in Austin''s eyes, thedy replied with a coquettishugh.
"Boy, don''t you know this? Our Tiger Mercenary Team is one of the strongest mercenary forces in the
Dragon City. We are recruiting cultivators to hunt demonic beasts and diabolic beasts in the Sunset
Mountain. The participants will have to fight with the beasts. It''s not going to be a fun hobby.
For the same, we need potent cultivators who can survive real dangers.
It''s not a suitable job for a boy like you!
I can''t make an exception for you even though you are such a cute boy!
What''s more, our Tiger Mercenary Team require more than the applicants'' vital energy cultivation base.
Although it might disappoint you, I have to tell you that what matters most is the fighting abilities.
Do you understand me now, boy?"
thedy said, her voiceced with sarcasm.
