Jiang Yi turned around and stood up at once, looking into the distance. Once again, his divine senses swept his surroundings like a stream of flowing water. Very quickly, he locked in on the Heaven me Beasts that the Heaven-Swallowing Beast was referring to.
Theva was surging as countless red dots wriggled around like crocodiles in theke. Sharp as des, they shot upwards. One look, and Jiang Yi guessed that there were at least tens of thousands of them. These Heaven me Beasts were small—only as big as a fist—and fiery red in color. They looked like they had no real body; instead, they just looked like balls of mes. However, their eyes formed very clear, ck, and icy dots in the middle of the mes. Since they could survive in theva, they must have been produced out of the heaven-and-earth special mes.

One by one, the Heaven me Beasts shot out of theke. Jiang Yi did not have much time to consider any further. At once, he summoned the Sword Emanations Race beings. At the same time, his zither appeared in his hands. If the Sword Emanations Race beings could not fend off the Heaven me Beasts and his zither proved to be useless, he would be in big trouble.
The Sword Emanations Race beings were not living beings but mere puppets. Naturally, they could not feel the high temperatures. Jiang Yi took a nce at the group of them and nodded subtly. The Sword Emanations Race did notbust into mes when they appeared. This meant that they could withstand the high temperatures.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
One by one, the Sword Emanations Race beings charged forward. They released countless thorns into the Lava Pit in the distance as Heaven me Beasts continued to emerge out of it. Jiang Yi had only summoned close to twenty thousand Sword Emanations Race beings, but a hundred thousand thorns had already been released.
Yet, what happened next caused Jiang Yi’s heart to sink!
Before the thorns even hit the Heaven me Beasts, they melted into liquid. Not only did they fail to attack them, but they also failed to even get close to them. Obviously, these venomous thorns proved to be useless. There was no reason for the Sword Emanations Race beings to continue charging forward anymore.
ng-ng!
Jiang Yi struck his zither harshly. This zither was not bad; at the very least, it was not melting. The moment Jiang Yi pulled a string of the zither, the sound echoed all around him. The explosive sound of the zither rushed forward like a wave.
It was useful this time, but it was only slightly useful.
A flicker of red light appeared in the Heaven me Beasts’ icy-cold eyes. They slowed down a bit, but they were still charging towards Jiang Yi extremely quickly. As the Heaven me Beasts came closer, the temperature where Jiang Yi stood kept rising. The zither could not withstand the heat any longer. At once, itbusted into mes. Jiang Yi’s only zither was now destroyed.

The Fire Dragon Sword appeared in Jiang Yi’s hands as he shouted, “Sword Emanations King, fuse!”

The Sword Emanations King burst into the sword in a stream of light. Jiang Yi was going to use his final mystical ability now. If it still proved to be ineffective, both he and the little beast would probably die this time.
He stomped down on the rock with a single leg, causing his body to shoot upwards like a dart. There were many Sword Emanations Race beings nearby; he did not want the Heaven me Beasts to destroy them. There were not many Sword Emanations Race beings left in his Wintry Pearl, but he did not have time to collect them all anymore.

The four dragon patterns on the Fire Dragon Sword began to move as they shed a blood red. Their baneful aura congealed into a red cloud, enveloping the hundreds of Heaven me Beasts.

Jiang Yi saw the Heaven me Beasts’ eyes turn red. Immediately, he halted in midair and spun around in joy. As he danced, he kept releasing the baneful aura from his Fire Dragon Sword, using it to envelop the Heaven me Beasts in front of him.
Jiang Yi had guessed correctly: when he was ying the zither earlier, the Heaven me Beasts’ eyes flickered red; and they slowed down. This meant that the Divine Sound Laws would be useless against them. The only thing that could really affect them was the baneful aura, and the baneful aura in his Fire Dragon Sword was much more powerful than the ones in his music.
<i>“Big Ferocious, you’re incredible!” </i>
The Heaven-Swallowing Beast sat in a corner and watched as Jiang Yi suppressed the Heaven me Beasts from afar. It quickly sent a voice message to him, saying: <i>“Quick, keep holding them down! Soon, I will be able to make them my ves!” </i>
“Really?”
Jiang Yi rejoiced once again. Even Little Ferocious could not deal with these Heaven me Beasts, which were born out of the heaven-and-earth special mes, no less. The Sword Emanations Race beings’ thorns melted once they got near them as well. They must be very ferocious indeed. If they could subdue these beasts, his battle powers would improve greatly.

At that moment, his Fire Dragon Sword was emitting the baneful aura at a rapid pace. The Heaven me Beasts’ eyes were getting redder by the second as they writhed in midair. Each of them cried out with an ear-piercing wail. The baneful aura must have subdued thempletely.

The Heaven-Swallowing Beast flew towards him, its golden horn at the top of its head lighting up. Its golden light illuminated the Heaven me Beasts in front of it. Slowly, the redness in their eyes disappeared. The violence in them disappeared as well. The little beast sent a voice transmission to Jiang Yi, saying: <i>“Alright, these Heaven me Beasts have been ovee. Don’t attack them.” </i>
“Alright!”
Jiang Yi celebrated. He avoided those subdued Heaven me Beasts and focused on attacking the ones which were still charging at him. As he did, the Heaven-Swallowing Beast steered the subdued Heaven me Beasts to stand behind them.
As expected...
Jiang Yi nced behind him and found an army of Heaven me Beasts, lined up neatly behind him. His heart finally settled down.
Huff-huff...
More and more Heaven me Beasts were gathering behind him. The terrifyingly high temperatures were overwhelming the Sword Emanations Race beings. Many Sword Emanations Race beings began to burst into mes. Jiang Yi could not be bothered with them anymore. If the hundred thousand or so Sword Emanations Race beings were going to burn, then so be it.
Five minutester, calm was restored in the Lava Pit. No more Heaven me Beasts were shooting out of the pit. The space behind Jiang Yi was filled up with the beasts. As they stood together, the group looked as dense as the yellow sand worms once did. There were at least three or four hundred thousand of them.
Hoo-Hoo!
Jiang Yi heaved a huge sigh of relief as if a gigantic weight had just been lifted off his chest. Thankfully, the baneful aura in the Fire Dragon Sword could subdue the Heaven me Beasts. Otherwise, both he and Little Ferocious would have been torn apart.
From the close distance, Jiang Yi could clearly see that the Heaven me Beasts did, in fact, have physical bodies. However, their bodies were set alight with mes, which caused them to look like fireballs instead. These Heaven me Beasts’ little mouths were red and contained little teeth. Jiang Yi wondered if he would have been gnawed down to his bones if they had been allowed to surround him.
Jiang Yi paused for a moment and then asked, “Little Ferocious, you couldn’t handle these Heaven me Beasts? Apart from mes, do they have other methods of attack? That’s right... they all came from within the heaven-and-earth special mes, right?”
<i>“I don’t know.” </i>
The little beast blinked and sent a voice transmission in reply: <i>“I did not fight them. I just felt in my gut that I could not defeat them. They came from the Lava Pit. I hadn’t even found the heaven-and-earth special mes that you spoke about.”</i>
“Oh, okay.”
Jiang Yi studied the Heaven me Beasts for a while, not knowing how powerful their battle skills were. He retrieved his Great Zen Pearl and was just about to kill all the yellow sand worms it contained before storing the Heaven me Beasts inside.
“No, wait...”
Jiang Yi pondered for a while and quickly stopped himself. <i>These Heaven me Beasts were covered in powerful mes. Would an ordinary spatial divine item be reduced to dust if I store them inside it?</i>
He tried putting a couple of Heaven me Beasts inside. Indeed, the pearl burned and emitted green smoke immediately. The space inside waspletely destroyed as well. All the yellow sand worms perished due to the spatial distortion that urred when the Heaven me Beasts entered the spatial divine item.
“I can only keep them in the Fire Spirit Pearl!”
Jiang Yi sighed softly. He could put any type of mes inside the Fire Spirit Pearl, and the little beast would be able to survive inside. This meant that the little beast would probably also survive even if he stored the Heaven me Beasts in the pearl. The only catch was that there was not much space inside the Fire Spirit Pearl. Jiang Yi guessed that he could only store ten to twenty thousand Heaven me Beasts at the most.
