Chapter 131 : Assassination

"Brat! Why didn''t you tell me our benefactor is here?" A booming voice echoed outside the pavilion, making Felix wince as he felt his earbuds vibrate from the sheer volume.

Quill who was sitting across Felix expression shifted noticeably  when heard the voice.

Felix and Quill peered outside the pavilion, their curiosity piqued as two figures approached.

The first was a tall, slender man in his middle years, sporting a well-groomed mustache and dressed in simple yet elegant green attire.

There was something striking about him, his eyes sparkled with an unusual shade of green that hinted at a noble temperament.

Felix wouldn''t sense any Mana fluctuationsing from this middle aged man at all. But he can sense that surrounded Mana became active thr moment this middle aged man arrived in the garden.

Beside him walked a stunning young woman around twenty years old.

She wore a flowing purple dress thatplemented her long, cascading purple hair, which reached down to her waist.

Her oval face boasted high cheekbones, small yet captivating eyes, and skin as smooth and creamy as porcin.

With an alluring figure that exuded charm, she carried herself with grace.

She was a Mage cloak, holding a long purple staff crackling with dense mana. It was clear: she was a Mage and no ordinary mage at that.

As they entered the pavilion, Felix couldn''t help but steal nces at the neers before looking back at Quill across from him.

Quill''s expression shifted to one of unease as he turned to Felix. "Big bro, this is my father Logan Maywraith and my sister Arwen Maywraith."

Startled butposed, Felix stood up straight and offered a polite bow. "Greetings Family Head Logan and Young Miss Arwen! It''s a pleasure to meet you; I''m Felix Morningstar."

Logan Maywraith regarded Felix with a warm smile and waved his hand dismissively. "Nice to meet you too, kiddo!"

"Father," Quill interjected proudly, "this is big bro Felix, the one I told you about!"

Logan shot Quill an amused nce before yfully swatting him on the back of the head. "You little brat! Howe you didn''t tell me our benefactor was here?"

"Hehehehe! I forgot," Quill admitted sheepishly while rubbing his head.

With gratitude glimmering in his eyes, Logan turned to Felix again. "Kiddo Felix, I''m genuinely thankful for saving my good-for-nothing son! Tell me what you need; it''s yours."

Felix quickly waved his hands in protest. "No need for that, Family Head Logan! I helped because he needed it, and besides, Quill and I are already friends."

"Oh?" Logan raised an eyebrow in surprise before patting Felix on the shoulder approvingly. "Good! Good! Just take care of him for me."

Felix felt slightly taken aback by Logan''s reaction but nodded earnestly. "Of course! Friends look out for each other."

Logan burst into heartyughter as he nced between Felix and Quill with mixed emotions swirling in his gaze.

Curious about Logan''s demeanor but deciding not to dwell on it too much, Felix shrugged it off.

"Mr. Felix, we''re really grateful you saved my brother!" Arwen Maywraith shed a seductive smile at Felix, bowing slightly and revealing an alluring neckline.

Felix quickly looked away, waving his hand dismissively. "No need for that, Miss Arwen."

Straightening up, Arwen maintained her smile, but her eyes turned bone-chillingly cold as they locked onto Felix''s.

That icy gaze sent a shiver down his spine before it vanished just as quickly.

Caught off guard by the sudden chill in her demeanor, Felix nced at Logan Maywraith and Quill.

A troubling thought struck him: "Did I identally stumble into a family feud?" His body trembled slightly at the realization; his lips twitched in bitter amusement.

He shook his head at Quill but kept up the facade ofughter and conversation with them.

"Alright, you little rascals keep chatting; I''m heading out," Logan announced as he made his way out of the pavilion.

"I''ll be going too," Arwen chimed in, casting onest lingering nce at Felix before she exited.

He watched her leave, lost in thought; a chill flickered through his narrowed eyes.

Suddenly nudged by Quill''s elbow, Felix snapped back to reality. "Big bro! What do you think? My sister is hot, right?" Quill grinned mischievously.

Felix facepalmed in disbelief, this guy was something else! "Sure, your sister is attractive... but I''m not interested."

"What?! Do you have any idea how many suitors are after her? They could form a battalion! And since I''m your bro I can help you well. Just as they say the pavilion closest to water enjoys the moonlight first." Quill winked yfully.

Felix shook his head firmly. "Nope! Not interested, and besides, I don''t want to meet an early grave!"

"Huh? You don''t want to die?" Quill looked perplexed until realization dawned on him. An understanding grin spread across his face.

"What does that look mean?" Felix asked incredulously.

"Big bro," Quill said with mock seriousness, "I get it now! The reason you''re avoiding my sister, even though she''s stunning, is because if Trinity finds out… well then you''re toast!" He burst intoughter.

"You''re hopeless," Felix sighed with an amused shake of his head.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky painting everything orange and gold, he turned to Quill. "Okay, it''s gettingte, I better head back before it gets dark."

"Already?" Quill eximed as he nced toward the horizon.

Felix gave Quill a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Don''t worry, I''lle visit you soon! And hey, you''re always wee to swing by Wulleamp District anytime!"

"Okay!" Quill replied with a bright grin. "Let me see you off."

Felix nodded as they strolled out of the pavilion together.

Momentster, they stood before the towering iron gate, where Felix''s carriage was already waiting for him.

"Alright, I''m heading out now. Make sure to tell your dad I''m gone, okay?" Felix said with a wave.

Quill nodded enthusiastically and added, "And big bro, don''t stress about those materials you asked for! I promise I''ll bring them to you myself in three days."

"Good to hear," Felix replied, giving Quill another friendly pat on the shoulder before stepping into the carriage.

He waved goodbye from the window as it began to roll away.

With a crack of the whip, the carriage sped off into the distance, disappearing from view in no time at all.

Quill shook his head with a smile and turned back towards the gigantic iron gate.

    ----------------------------

Felix''s carriage raced through the bustling streets, thete hour doing little to deter the throngs of people.

In fact, it seemed as if the nighttime crowd rivaled that of midday! Without a moment''s pause, the carriage sped onward, and three hourster, it had already left the Azgarr District behind.

By then, the sun had dipped below the horizon, giving way to three magnificent moons draped in a nket of twinkling stars.

As they traveled further into the night, having passed through ten districts, the carriage approached Wulleamp District.

Felix sat inside, his eyes glinting with icy determination as a sly grin crept across his face.

    "Stop the carriage," hemanded calmly.

Without hesitation, the coachmanplied. Felix stepped out and positioned himself in front of the carriage. "Stay put and don''t go anywhere," he instructed firmly.

"Understood, Family Head," replied the coachman with a serious nod as he settled back into his seat.

Felix stood there with hands sped behind his back, as tranquil as still water.

The area around them was shrouded in darkness; only faint light illuminated their surroundings, almost as if fate had orchestrated this moment.

Suddenly, shadowy figures began to emerge from the gloom, around fifty in total, encircling Felix like moths drawn to a me.

The coachman''s eyes widened in rm at this unexpected turn of events.

Felix surveyed his would-be assants with an unfazed expression. "Quite an impressive lineup: Ten Tier 5 Grandmaster Knights, twenty Tier 4 High-Level Knights, and twenty Tier 3 Master Knights."

One figure stepped forward and hissed ominously, "Mr. Felix, you''ve meddled where you shouldn''t have, and now you must pay with your life."

Rubbing his nose thoughtfully and shaking his head slightly, Felix cracked his knuckles with a wide grin spreading across his face. "I haven''t tested my strength since breaking through to Tier 5; let''s see how I fare against you lot!"

With that deration echoing in the air like thunderps before a storm, a long gleaming de appeared in his hand, and then he vanished without a trace.

    "Pssssssssst."

In an instant, three heads soared into the night sky like fireworks erupting, a fountain of crimson spraying forth!

Before anyone could react or evenprehend what was happening, ten more headless bodies crumpled lifelessly to the ground.

"The information is wrong! Abort mission!" one assassin shouted frantically before turning on his heel, but it was toote; his head detached from his body before he could take another step.

Felix flickered in and out of existence, a blur of motion that left no trace behind.

Just momentster, all fifty Assassinsy lifeless on the ground, their heads severed from their bodies as if they had never stood a chance.

Reappearing effortlessly in front of the carriage, Felix surveyed the grim scene with an air of indifference.

"These guys are too weak," he remarked with a casual shake of his head, as if dismissing an annoying task.

Without another thought, he climbed into the carriage and sped off into the night, vanishing into the shadows like a whisper carried away by the wind.

Just as Felix''s carriage disappeared into darkness, another figure cloaked in ck emerged at the spot where it had been.

ncing at the gruesome sight before him, headless bodies sprawled across a pool of blood, he muttered to himself, "This guy is too ruthless."

With that chilling observation, he vanished just as quickly as he had appeared.
