    When we reached the cabin, I got off of his back. Asher went behind a tree and shifted in his human


    form. I hope papa or Ryder won''t do a surprise attack on us. They may have tried to contact me


    yesterday. They must be worried about me. Why am I so weak? I can''t even heal someone without


    cking out. I should tell them not toe here as Asher is with me.


    ‘Papa’ I called in the mind link.


    ''Where are you?'' he asked almost immediately.


    ''I am at the cabin.'' I replied.


    ''We areing.'' Oh no.


    ''Noooo. Not now. One of the shifters is with me. I will exin everything when Ie back. Maybe


    tonight.'' I exined a bit panicked.


    ''What the hell is going on over there?'' he asked. Papa seems to be really mad.


    ''I don''t know. But I think the one with me was ordered not to leave my side.'' I said irritated. Like I was


    going to run.


    ''They didn''t hurt you, did they?'' he sound worried.


    ''No. I am absolutely fine. I healed someone and as usual I cked out.''


    ''Okay. Be safe.''

    I turned around and Asher was looking at me weirdly.


    "Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked.


    "Who were you talking to?" he asked suspiciously.

    "I didn''t even open my mouth dude. You must be hallucinating." I bbered out.


    "You were talking in the mind link to someone you called papa. Is that your alpha?" he asked furrowing

    "No I heard you both talking. You called me a shifter. Others also heard you Saturday night talking in

    "Lie all you want. The alpha is going to question you about it tonight." He said smirking.


    My mouth hung open. What am I going to say to them?


    "I am going to take a shower. Make yourselffortable." I said snappily.


    I turned around and went inside the cabin with Asher following suit.


    "I am sorry about yesterday morning. I didn''t mean to hurt you. I was just so happy to finally have my


    mate that I lost control." Asher said once we were inside.


    "Well I did break your nose. So you don''t need to apologize. I would be happier though if your nose


    didn’t heal so damn fast." I said without looking at him. I grumbled thest part but I know he heard me.


    "Are you epting me as your mate then?" he said hopefully.


    "I thought it was mandatory. I didn''t knew one can reject their mate." I joked facing him.


    He visibly paled. "Off course it is mandatory. You are not getting rid of me ever." He said stubbornly.


    "I know." He is definitely cute. “Can I ask you something?”

    “Why were you embarrassed earlier? You know when you were exining the events earlier.” He

    “It’s nothing.” He said looking anywhere but at me. He is definitely hiding something.

    “It’s just… please don’t be mad at me.” He pleaded. “I was just looking at you and I didn’t knew when I


    got too close to you. But before I knew it I was hovering over you and kissed you.” He has got to be


    kidding me. First he forcefully kissed me, mming into the wall and again when I was passed out. I


    am so going to murder him painfully. “I wasn’t going to kiss you at first. But then, when I was close, our


    noses touched and your breath hit my lips.” I can feel blood creeping up my neck. I looked down from


    embarrassment. “Your scent entered my nose, then my lips touched yours and I lost it. The feeling of


    you under me was so incredible that I had to run out of the house to clear my head.” He cupped my


    face and rested his forehead on my hairs. When did he get this close to me? “I know what I did was


    wrong and I swear I won’t kiss you again if you are notpletely awake.” He tilted my head up with


    one hand and his other arm snaked around my waist. He kissed my forehead, pulled me closer and


    wrapped his hands around me, hugging me and resting his cheek on my hair. “I’m sorry. Not about


    kissing you though.” He chuckled. “But after that I kept my distance till the night. I might have spooned


    you in sleep.”


    I know I am blushing too hard by now. My face must be redder than a tomato. I hid my face in his chest


    and clutched the sides of his t-shirt. This feels perfect, like this is where I am supposed to be, with him


    and in his arms. I pried myself off of him and ran into the bathroom. I heard him chuckle behind me.


    What was this feeling? For now I am going to push this in the back of my mind. I have more pressing


    matters to worry about in the moment. I cleaned myself up and then Asher went to shower. This is the


    right time. Maybe he won''t hear me this time.


    ''Papa''


    ''Yes'' he replied.


    ''They heard me talking to you in the mind link on Saturday and also before when I was talking to you.


    They are going to question me about it. Should I tell them everything?'' I asked worried.


    ''Yes. We will be there. In case they ask for proof, we will show ourselves.''


    ''I am sorry papa because of me, all this is happening.'' This is all my fault. Why do I have to be so

    ''It''s not your fault princess. It was bound to happen someday when we decided to take you in the pack.''


    ''And one more thing. I am the third inmand''s mate.'' I said as casually as I can manage. I bit my lip


    waiting for his reply.


    ''Whaaaat?'' Ryder butted in. Just like I thought.


    ''Stop shouting Ryder.'' I said to him wincing.


    ''Tell him to note in ten foot diameter of you or I will do it myself. I will chop off his balls if he even


    touches you until you are at least eighteen.'' Here we go again.


    ''He is in the cabin right now taking a shower.'' Messing with Ryder is so much fun.


    ''I aming there.'' He hissed.


    ''No you are not.’ I said to Ryder’s hissing self. ‘Papa do you mind putting him on a leash?'' I asked papa

    ''I am thinking the same thing princess and stop over reacting Ryder. But on the second thought, throw


    your mate out of the cabin before I tear him to pieces.'' Papa said growling. Well those are some strong


    words.


    ''Haha take that princess.'' Ryder sniggered.


    ''He is just taking a shower. So stop exaggerating. You two are such drama queens.'' I said sighing.

    Asher came out after a few minutes and sat beside me on the couch.


    "You were talking to them again." he stated. There is no point in lying then.

    "So should we leave? Cause I would like my balls attached to my body." He joked grinning.

    "Don''t worry. Ryder won''t do anything." I assured him.


    "How did you get the pack mark?" he asked.


    "By getting epted in the pack."


    "How? I mean we got this mark when we first shifted. You are not a shifter." He inquired.

    "I will cook lunch. I will get hungry soon."

    "No its okay. I will manage." he opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off "Don''t"


    "Fine. But we have to go back after eating. Everyone will be home soon. It is half past twelve already."


    He said worried.


    "Sure."


    "Have I been here before? This ce feels so familiar." He said looking around.

    I cooked pasta. We ate and left at 2. We reached the meeting ce or the house at half past two. By


    then everyone was already there. I got off of his back and he went to shift. As soon as I got in I was


    tackled by Aaron in a bear hug.


    "You are choking me.", he let go of me immediately.


    "Sorry.", he said blushing "How are you?"


    "Better. How was school? Did anyone hurt you? If yes, give me the names. Their ass is grass


    tomorrow." I said clenching my fist.


    "Nobody bullied me. The Knights were asking about you though and Elena too. I told them you are out


    of town for some personal reasons." He replied smiling.


    "Thanks."


    Carter held Aaron''s hand and pulled Aaron towards him. Aaron turned bright red. We allughed. I


    grinned at him and he red at me still blushing. I will tease himter.


    "You know the Knights." Leo asked.


    "Yup. Why did you ask? Do you know them too?" I asked.


    "You know about them don''t you?" The question was rhetorical.


    "Yeah I do." Still I confirmed.


    "So?" he inquired.


    "My family doesn''t mind it. Besides they are nice people."

    "We can do thatter. I just wanted to say thank you for healing Aby. It means a lot to us. And wee


    to the pack."


    "No need to thank me. It''s what I am supposed to do. I am part of this pack since I was ten. Thank you


    though. I missed you guys a lot." Me and my fat mouth.


    He was about to say something but Aby hugged me. She thanked me. Asher came from behind me


    and circled his hands around my waist. He rested his chin on my shoulder.


    "I thought you like your balls attached to your body." I joked.


    "I do but I can''t stay that long without touching you." He said smiling.


    I tried to get away from him but he tightened his hold on me. I sighed and gave in.
