    Rays of the sun passed through the window, awaking Venus from her sleep, as she rubbed her eyes


    and groaned when a sharp pain sliced through her head.


    She opened her eyes and was met with an unfamiliar surrounding.


    This was not her room.


    The potent smell that evaded her room told her exactly who''s it was, the scent of woods and mint


    cocooned her.


    She was in Dantes room.


    She sat up and stretched, swung her legs out the bed, only to feel cool air kiss her bare legs. She was


    in a ck tee shirt, also Dantes.


    Her cheeks turned crimson at the thought of him changing her clothes, it also made her ufortable.


    The door to the bathroom swung open to reveal her mate in all his glory, the only thing that stopped


    him from being entitled as ''naked'' was the loose towel that was tied dangerously low on his hips,

    As droplets of water cascaded down his sculpted body, his tattoos she realised covered both his arms,

    one, you suddenly cant have a attack of consciousness and realise that everything you did was a


    mistake, i cant take this anymore, IT HURTS, DAMN YOU IT HURTS SO FUCKING MUCH,

    MATE WHILE I WAS RIGHT THERE." Venus shouted, as tears streamed down her face, hurt and pain


    etched on every fibre of her being.


    But she wasn''t finished.


    "Goddess," Venus chuckled bitterly, looking up and shaking her head.


    "What have i done ... what did i do to get you as a mate?" She asked, her eyes bloodshot.


    Heavy, thick silence filled the room.


    "i fucking hate you," she said, in a soft painful whisper.


    Dante visibly flinched, shock and hurt shing through his features upon her words.


    A feeling had him rooted, it made his heart wrench, guilt.


    As she shook her head at hisck of response, and red at him and ran out the room.


    She ran into the shower, tearing at his shirt, tears running down her face as sobs wracked her body, as


    she turned on the shower, running the soap over her body roughly, wanting to rid herself of his scent.


    Her eyes clenched shut, she wrapped her hands around herself, and slid against the ss door, onto


    the tiled cold floor, the water mixing with her salty tears.


    He didn''t even introduce her to the pack as a member, let alone as his mate.


    She felt so unworthy and useless.


    Two more days, she''d wait, and then if she found the opportunity, she would run, run from this cursed


    pack, away from him.

    Venus sat in her bed, reading a book, to divert her mind from the incidents that had happened, it was 2


    in the afternoon now.


    She was in her sweatpants and a big hoodie.


    A knock made her look up, and Mary came in, a tray in her hands.


    Venus smiled weakly at the elderly woman.


    "Alpha said you didn''t have breakfast, you should eat, its noon now, and these are tablets for your


    headache." Mary exined, smiling at the young girl.


    Venus felt rage consume her body, how dare he.


    "Im not hungry Mary thank you, you can take this away," venus said, trying to keep her tone polite, that

    "Oh no you must eat," Mary insisted.


    Venus sighed, not wanting to offend the lovely woman.


    "Mary may i ask who changed mest night," venus mumbled, drinking the juice.


    "Oh yesst night the alpha came in the housete, carrying you and you were well, asleep. He took


    you to his room then called me to change your clothes," Mary said, giggling like a school girl.


    "Wait-wait, WHAT?" Venus screeched.


    Disbelief on her face.


    "Well yes, afterwards he then checked up on you again, and he slept in the guest room," Mary said, as


    if saddened by the thought of them not sleeping together.


    Venus looked horrified.


    Patting her head, Mary then walked out, but not before voicing her thoughts,


    "Forgive her for intruding, but ... I know that you and the alpha are mates," Mary said, chuckling at the


    surprised look on Venus face.


    "Don''t look so surprised, i can recognise mates from anywhere, the point is, i know the alpha may be ...


    hard to understand, but if you see closely, even he''s in need of love and affection, despite the cold


    facade he has on, he wants it too, i haven''t missed the look of longing that shes through his eyes he


    gives when you''re not looking, give him a chance, you''ll grow to love him," with that said Mary left


    Venus to her messed thoughts.


    Later in the evening, Venus carried her heavy limbs down the stairs.


    She walked into the library, got a few books, and a snack from the kitchen, then making her way


    upstairs.


    A voice had her stop short.


    "Baby please, i need you," a high pitched annoying voice whines.


    Venus followed the voice to see Ariana,


    Her hands around Dante, peppering kisses on his jaw, then making way to his lips.
