    Aiden’s POV


    ‘Ashira! Are you alright? Did they hurt you?’


    I know that’s a foolish question and I already knew the answer to that. Fuck. I still wanted to know how


    Elon harmed her with the thought of revenge. I’ll definitely do the same thing that that fucker did to my


    mate, ten folds.


    ‘W-Were fine. Aiden, didn’t you heard me? I’m pregnant! I have your pup in my womb right now!’


    I felt her relief through our mate bond. The connection hase back, I can sense her presence within


    me. I can feel her emotions, her scent is only faint due to the distance but she’s there. I can feel her.


    I sighed and smiled to myself. She’s so happy that she’s pregnant and I’m on the seventh heaven.


    Over the moon even, euphoric about having a child and starting a family with her. I feel like I just found


    the purpose of living.


    Though this fucking situation is killing the mood, I can’t celebrate the same as she sounds.


    ‘I know, baby, I know.’


    ‘What? How did you know? You should see my belly bump! Oh, God. I never thought being pregnant


    would surprise me like this .’


    I bit my lip, trying to suppress the smile forming on my lips from the sound of her euphoric mood. She’s


    so happy that she forgot the case she’s in. The danger she’s facing and that she’s in the enemy’sir.


    I sighed.


    ‘I want to see you now. So bad.’


    I can feel that she was taken aback from my words and I cursed under my breath. I just ruined her


    moment. She is probably baffled and saddened by how my words meant the longing I feel inside.


    ‘ I-I’ll make sure both of you will be safe. I promise, I wille for you.’ I said and tried to revive her


    mood but I didn’t felt her emotion changed.


    A huge sigh escaped my mouth.


    I closed my eyes shut. ‘I will save you now’ is what I wanted to say and its frustrating that I can’t yet. My


    lips trembled and a low growl escaped my lips. My hand formed a fist and the white on my knuckles


    was visible.


    Damn it.


    I want to see it, too. I want to feel our child. I’m sure I will hear its pulse right on her belly.


    If only she’s here.


    And that Goddamn son of a bitch just took this moment from me. The moment to celebrate having a


    child with my loving mate.


    This hit me so bad, I want to see how happy she is with her smile and her sparkling eyes. Right now,


    I’m sure she does.


    ‘Aiden. We’re fine. Please, focus your mind and don’t be distracted. I can feel your outrage from here.’


    ‘How can I focus when I know that you’re in danger? I will save you and I promise, I will kill that


    bastard.’


    ‘I trust you. I know you wille for me, baby.’


    The way she said thest word is far from how we tease each other by that call sign. I felt her sincerity


    and it fueled my chest. She recharged my soul and only then did I found that my courage to save her


    was starting to crumble.


    ‘And you don’t need to worry. I don’t think Elon can harm me physically, though I’m not sure how long it


    willst.’


    ‘What do you mean?’


    ‘I kind of electrocuted him when he touched me. I think that’s the same time that the concealing


    potion’s effect has left my system. If I could do that again the next time hee here, he won’t get


    near me.’


    I’m baffled from the news she said.


    Electrocuted?


    I snapped on my head and opened my eyes. I saw three pairs of eyes fixed on me, scared even. Even


    Zeke looked bothered though I can see that he’s trying topose himself.


    I sighed.


    “I’m in the portal with Ashira, the potion must have worn out.” I exined. I forgot I havepany


    inside the room.


    Nick burst a sigh, not yet absorbing what I just said. When he does, his eyes grewrge and he’s


    almost panicking.


    “She’s alright. Elon just got aware of her pregnancy but she said something like she electrocuted him,” I


    looked at Zynia, hoping for an exnation. “How did she do that?”


    Zynia stood up and put her palms together in front of her chest. Her eyes are full of glow, relieved of


    something.


    “I’m not sure which power it came from but it could be her gift as a stealer or the pup inside her womb


    were trying to protect its mother.”


    I nodded and turned my back on them. I need more time to talk with Ashira.


    ‘That’s good to hear, Ash. Tomorrow at dawn, we’ll attack Ravenous so until then, I hope you can


    protect yourself and our baby.’


    ‘Of course, Aiden. Don’t belittle me, I’m not weak.’


    Iughed inwardly from her irritated tone.


    That’s my girl.


    I sniffed the air and sensed that Jacob just entered my territory followed by a mind-linked report from


    one of the guards.


    I looked at Nick and it seems he got the report, too. He was already on his feet and nodded at me


    before I couldmand. At least an Alpha, Beta or Gamma needs to escort Jacob’s arrival as a formal


    respect.


    When Nick walked out of the room, I went back to our mate portal. I also saw Zynia and Zeke followed


    Nick outside that left me alone inside the room.


    ‘I know you are strong, baby.’


    ‘I will protect this child, Aiden.’


    I sighed and bit my lip upon her promise. I know the baby inside her womb will be fine just like Zynia


    had exined but it is Ashira that I care the most right now.


    More than our child, to be honest.


    I’m stopping myself on opening the worst that I’m afraid to happen aside from having a killed mate.


    The stealing thing that Zynia said earlier. Should I disclose this to her? But… it would be better if she


    knew.


    ‘I don’t know if I should say this, I don’t want you to be afraid.’ I started.


    A few minutes of silence and I start to worry.


    ‘Ashira? Are you okay? What’s happening there?’


    ‘No. I- Nothing is happening here. I was- I’m waiting for what you wanted to say.’


    I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose then running my hands over my head as I try to calm my


    ramming heart beat.


    I thought Elon came for her again. I thought I broke contact with her mind again.


    Damn it.


    ‘Listen, baby. Elon can’t do anything to our pup. Killing the life inside your womb right now is beyond


    possible-’


    ‘Really? God, Aiden! That’s great news! Did Zynia said that? We have nothing to worry about-’


    ‘Ashira, please listen to me. Our child will be fine. But we can’t have our guards down yet. Elon might


    try to steal you from me. He will stole you, and that would mean that you will never remember any


    memories with me. Like I never exist in your life. Elon might steal you and own you as his own mate.’


    I feel like I’m breaking down. The words I said to her was almost like my whining. I hate to say this but


    right now, I’m only praying that I could save Ashira at the right time.


    ‘No, Aiden, I won’t let him do anything or even get near me. I don’t want to be stole! I’m your mate!’


    ‘I know, please, calm down.’


    ‘I will never forget you! I-I-I don’t want to be-, Aiden, please…’


    I could feel her frightened emotion, she’s scared and she’s probably crying right now. Alone. Without


    me. Fuck.


    I screamed my frustration and punch the wall in front of me. A hole was made by my fist and the wall


    cracked up to the ceiling.


    Damn it! Damn it!


    I feel the same, Ashira! I do! If only I wouldn’t think of the welfare of my pack. I would attack on my own


    just to save her so why did I even wait this far?


    Right.


    I’ll save her no matter the cost.


    ‘I’ll save you now. I’lle for you, baby. Please don’t cry. Reach to me and I’ll answer right away. I’ll


    ‘What will you do, Aiden? Don’te unprepared. Please, I need you.’


    ‘I’ll do anything for you, Ashira. I’ll risk everything for you.’


    I will attack Ravenous without the help of our alliance. I couldn’t wait another minute and I won’t wait for


    hours while my mate is scared and crying as she fights alone.


    I moved out of the room with inhumane speed. Just when I reached the living room, I saw Nick with


    Jacob and his mate, Lucianna just arrived.


    “Brother.” Jacob greeted but I can only nod. My head is focused on the attack the formed inside my


    head.


    I turned to Nick and saw his forehead creasing with confusion.


    “Nick, prepare every shifters. Fighters, Guards, Trackers and Watchers. Everyone who knew how to


    fight. Just leave the pup beginners to defend thend.”


    “What? Why? What’s happening?”


    “Just do as you are told!”


    “Aiden, what are you nning?” Jacob butted in.


    I sighed and watched them.


    Nick was confused but he’s yet following mymand. Jacob has the criticizing look on his face and


    beside him is Lucianna who’s arms are wrapped on Jacob’s arms.


    In a split moment, I saw a picture of me and Ashira together just like how Lucianna and Jacob is right


    now. I shook my head after a few seconds and moved my eyes back to Nick.


    Ignoring Jacob’s question, I tried and exined to Nick what I nned to happen.


    “We’re attacking Ravenous right now so gather everyone.”


    “Are you craz-”


    “Go on, Nick. Follow themand of your Alpha since it seems he knew how to assassinate his own


    pack in a heroic way.” Jacob snarled at me.


    I saw how Lucianna look at her mate with widened eyes and dropped jaw.


    A loud growl directed to Jacob escaped my throat.


    “Stay out of this, Jacob!”


    The Alpha in front of me smirked and crossed his arms in front of his chest.


    “Says someone who asked for our help. Has your mind left you, Aiden?”


    I felt every nerve in my body exploded. Without any thoughts, I grabbed his cor and pushed him that


    we’re both on the floor. I’m towering above him and he looked at me with a tired look.


    “You don’t know what I’m going through!”


    “Aiden!” Lucianna shouted.


    “Don’t fight, you guys!” Nick.

    “Do I need to be in your shoes to know what’s best? You are risking your life and the life of your loyal


    soldiers by not using your head!”


    My teeth gritted as a growl came out of my chest.


    “Please have a calm conversation, you two.” Lucianna pleaded. I nted my head and sighed, pulling


    myself up and standing on my feet.


    “I’ll risk everything to save my mate. If you’re against it, then try and stop me.” I said in a calm tone but


    every words that came out of my mouth were emphasizing that I’ve already made my decision.


    “Aiden. Even if you save Ashira and died, another mateless wolf wille for her. Who will save her


    then, huh?” Jacob insisted on trying to change my decision but what shocked me is how he knew about


    Ashira’s wolf abnormality.


    I turned to Nick with questioning eyes.


    “I told him about it.” Nick answered with a sigh. “Sorry, it kind of slipped when we were talking over the


    phone.”


    I sighed and screwed my eyes shut.


    “I won’t tell anyone and Lucianna won’t harm her friend. Your secret is safe with us but think of what I


    just said, Aiden. You need to act ordingly and n this thoroughly. Wars shouldn’t be made in an


    impulsive reasons. Hundreds of life is at stake and you need to take your pack under consideration. Its


    our duty as Alpha.”


    “You don’t understand, Jacob. A stealer like Ashira can be stolen with a process that someone like Elon


    may know how. A mateless wolf with knowledge of rare potions like him have a dark enchantress


    behind his back. Supporting him. If he seeded, my mate won’t even remember who I am and what I


    am to her.”


    “So? You can’t think of a solution for a problem that is yet to exist. The mate bond is strong, you can


    think of a solution after you’ve sessfully saved Ashira if Elon will precede on stealing her. And you


    can only do that if you are still alive!”


    “You don’t get it! I can’t waste time! This is not just my mate we are saving but my child, too!”


    “Oh my! Ash is pregnant?!” Lucianna blurted out.


    I nodded at her and sighed.


    “Elon will want to execute stealing Ashira to have a sessor of his title. And I have a feeling that he’ll


    do it soon.”


    A long silence filled around us. Jacob was thinking and I think he finally understand the reason of my


    impulsive decision.


    Damn. This conversation already killed a lot of time.


    “I know you understand now.” I turned to Nick. “Follow my instruction, we can’t waste any more


    minutes.”


    “I’ll join you then. I won’t leave a brother behind.” Jacob said.


    I looked at him with narrowed eyes. I can’t believe he will support me on this but I need every help I can


    gather right now.


    I nodded and reached out my hand to Jacob. A sign of appreciation. He took it and gave me a tap on


    my shoulder.


    “Uh, excuse me.”


    Our eyes went to the person standing on the opened entrance door. Zeke were huffing as he stands


    there.


    “We can surely attack Ravenous pack right now even without the alliance of other pack.” he said and


    raised his hand where he holds a piece of paper.
