Xavier''s POV
6 months. It has been 6 months since everything happened. Since I went into the darkness. Since I
became a monster. Since my mate died.
After she was gone, I couldn''t do anything and wanted to iste myself from this world. But then I
realised that''s the same mistake my mum did and I can''t do the same mistake.
My Kingdom still need me. Amelia always respected my duties I did as an Alpha King and I won''t
disappoint her. I continued my duties as Alpha King.
No one talks to me properly. Not Nathan, not Ang, not even my mother. Because of that, I had
stopped talking. Only when necessary.
Nathan onlymunicate with me when ites to the pack and Kingdom. He calls me by my title
and nothing more. I wouldn''t me him.
I am the reason his sister is dead. I have be more ruthless and merciless. When Amelia died, she
took my light along with her, leaving me in my darkness.
I made sure there were no witches alive anymore in the world. I took everyone down, sparing the kids. I
knew how much Amelia loved kids and I couldn''t do harm to those kids.
But promised one day, when they grow up, I''lle for them. This is what has be of me. I
became a monster.
Here I was torturing a rogue for disrespecting me. He was pleading me, yet I continued my torture on
him. This is how I keep my mind busy.
Once I was satisfied, I went back up, when I saw Nathan approaching me. "Alpha King, Alpha Miguel is
in the line for you." he said grimly.
I nodded my head and went towards my office. After washing my hands, I picked up my phone. Miguel
greeted me from the other line.
"Xavier. How are you?" I just hummed in response. "I have been calling you toe over for months
but you refused. But now I need you here."
"For what?" I groaned. After hearing about everything, he has been pestering me toe over to take
time off things.
"Rogues." is all he had to say, before I could understand. Rogues has been getting out of control these
days. I sighed knowing I had to go there.
"Fine. I''lle over." I said as I put the phone down. I quickly mind linked Nathan toe over. Within
seconds he was knocking on my door. I asked him toe in as he entered
"We need to go to Alpha Miguel''s territory. Get about 2 men. We will heading over ASAP." I instructed
him. He nodded his head and was about to go.
"I am sorry, Nathan. I hope you''ll forgive me one day." I whispered. I felt his body tense. He just walked
away without saying anything.
I sighed and got up from my sit. I went to her room as I took her hoodie and sniffed it. It immediately
calmed me down. I took her photo and caressed it.
"I miss you, little one." I said sighing. "I wish you were here. I wish you could make me the better man
that you thought of me."
"Knowing you are not here, kills me. I wish toe to you so badly. But you wouldn''t want that. You
would want me to live for our Kingdom."
"The children, ask of you everyday. I have no answer for them, little one." I said tearing up. I miss her
so much. I wanted her back so badly.

I fell asleep in her bed like everyday clutching onto her teddy bear. When I first saw that, I couldn''t
contain the smile that spread across my face.
I had imagined her hugging it to sleep. She would have looked so cute. That was thest image in my
mind before going into my nightmares.
I shot up awake again from nightmare. It was of, Amelia, dying. This haunts me every night. It has
be my own prison in hell.
I checked the time and it was 5am. Might as well stay awake. I went back to my room, shower and got
ready for the trip to Miguel''s territory.
By the time I was done, it was 7.30 am. I waited for Nathan to mind link. An hourter he mind linked
saying everyone was ready.
I sighed and got my things and left. The faster I leave, the faster I cane back. I made my way
downstairs and saw Nathan with 2 other warriors. I nodded to them and we left.
We rode for about 5 hours when we finally reached hisnd. Upon seeing us, the guards let us in,
bowing to me. Miguel was already waiting for us.
"Wee Xavier." he said inviting me. I just nodded my head. "Wee Beta Nathan. I am sorry for
your loss." he said to Nathan as he just nodded his head.
The moment we entered, we went straight to his office and got down to business. "We have the rogues
in the dungeon." Miguel said getting to the point.
"We tried to get information from them, but they wouldn''t bulge." Miguel said sighing. "Well they haven''t
got interrogated by me." I said snarling.
"Where is the dungeon?" I asked him as he quickly showed us the path. We followed him down the
basement and going down in the staircase. I had asked Nathan and the rest to wait for me outside.
The moment he showed me them, I snarled at them. "Let me be alone." I demanded him. "But-" I
stopped him by a growl.
Without saying, he left me with them. "Shall we begin?" I asked with a sinister smile as they cowered
away. With that I began my torture on them.
For hours, I was there getting the answer I needed. Finally after getting the answered, I went back.
"They were here to challenge you for your Alpha position. Hence was sneaking around to find your
weakness." I said to Nathan.
Nathan looked at me bewildered. I was covered in blood. I probably looked like a monster to him. But I
don''t care. "What happened to you?"
I just rolled my eyes at him. "I got the answers you want. I suggest you let one of them go, to pass the
message." I said to as I walk pass him to clean myself up.
Once I cleaned myself up, I came out and saw everyone was waiting for me. "Now that we are done,
we should get going."
"What? Come on. Its going to be night. You guys should stay the night." he said with hope. I sighed
thinking about it. The guys looked exhausted themselves.
I nodded my head in agreement. He showed us the guestroom andter we were called for dinner. I
skipped dinner not really in the mood.
I was in the living room balcony when Miguel came in. He just stood there not saying anything, knowing
I needed the silence.
"I miss her. A lot." I said looking at the moon. I heard him sigh. "I understand. If someone as to much
think of hurting, Emma, I would be furious." Emma is his mate.
"Why did I let this happen?" I asked no one in particr. "You can me yourself for what happen, but
we both know we couldn''t have avoided this."
I sighed. I wish he was right. "You should have seen her. She was full of life. I have never seen anyone
as energetic as her. She was an energy ball." I said smiling.
"We would have had so much fun." he saidughing. I smiled at that. They would have been good
friends. Both of them were trouble makers,
After some time he left me knowing I needed my space.
I sighed as I prayed to the moon goddess, hoping my agony would end soon.
