    It takes a couple of minutes to peel open my tired eyes, I smack my lips together in response to feel


    how dried out my mouth is. My gaze rakes over the room until it falls on Mkai who sits at the end of


    the bed, leaning against the bed post with a book in his hand. As if sensing my eyes on him, he looks


    up, a small relieved smile graces his face. ? How are you feeling? " ? Thirsty. " I croak, slowly moving


    myself to sit against the headboard. Kai leans down, pulling a bottle of water from off the floor beside


    the bed. He moves closer to me while unscrewing the stic lid, when he''s close enough he brings the


    bottle to my lips. I take a mouthful as I take the bottle into my own hands. Gulping down half of the


    water, I remove it from my mouth, gasping for air. ? What happened with Maria? Are those humans


    okay? What about Dahlia and her mate?" I list off question after question. Kai smiles at me again,


    putting the lid on the bottle and cing it back on the ground. " Maria was punished and banished from

    With weak legs, I climb out of bed, grasping onto Kai for support as we walk through the house until we


    reach the kitchen. He sits me down at therge ck marble ind, then moves around the dark


    designed kitchen in silence until he ces a bowl of pasta with tomato sauce and basil in front of me.

    Sighing, I ce my fork Into the bowl, turning my body to face his. ? Mkai, you ended up doing the

    you said. You are mine and I am yours." His blue eyes gaze into mine, my body melts as the feeling


    warmth, safety and admiration course through me. He slides off of his stool, moving closer to me. when


    close enough he spins the stool around, caging me in with his arms as he captures my lips with his. My


    lips follow his movements as I slide my hands around his neck,cing my fingers into his long soft hair.


    One of his hands presses against my lower back, pulling me forward. Spreading my legs, I allow him to


    step in between them and press his body against mine. A light gasp escapes my lips as his tangles his


    other hand in my hair, tugging It softly, he takes this opportunity to slide his tongue into my mouth. We


    battle for control for a few minutes then he pulls away,ying his forehead against mine. Both of our


    breathing has increased, we stay with our eyes closed, holding onto each other trying to regte it. Kai


    moves his hand from my hair to my cheek, brushing his thumb against my face softly when he pulls


    away to look at me. ? I shouldn''t have reacted the way I did to finding out about you. I allowed things


    with Maria to happen, that I shouldn''t have and yet you''re so quick to forgive me, why? " " I''ve acted in


    questionable ways and done questionable things too. Even the way I handled Maria ... Well I could''ve

    one that has settled on Kai''s lips. Clearing my throat I walk over to Dahlia. ? Why don''t you guys give us


    some space?? I nce between the two brothers, who reluctantly nod. ? I''ll be upstairs whenever you''re


    ready. " Kai mumbles, pressing a kiss to my forehead before exiting the room with Phoenix.
