I’m not upset I just prefer you to drink from blood bags or off us, not some random person” Tyson
says before sighing.
“Jacob isn’t some random person Tyson, he is family, I have known him just as long as I have
known you” I tell him not seeing the big deal about it.
“That may be so but if your mother wasn’t stocking blood bags you could have rang, or why didn’t
you tell Ryker he would have made sure there was some there for you" Tyson says, yet I felt like I was
intruding by being there let alone asking for anything.
“It’s fine, you just need to feed Lucy. Do you want to feed on me or I can go get you get a blood
bag” Tyson says. My face heats but I could see he didn’t really like the idea of a blood bag but I don’t
think I would be able to bring myself to bite him. It was one thing in the forest I was ravenous but now
being faced with it, I suddenly felt embarrassed that I was a vampire. I felt dirty for needing blood.
“Stay here, I will be back soon, I will grab dinner on the way home” He says, grabbing his keys and
pulling a hoodie on. He walks out and I jump off the bench putting everything he pulled out away before
doing the few dishes in the sink before walking into the living room and changing the channel. I watch
TV and wait for him to return. I try to mindlink Rayan but I could feel he was asleep, because the link
was dead and I wasn’t able to force it like he could or Tyson and Ace.
Feeling for Ryker I push on the link before he opens it. “Hey Luce” He said, yet he sounded
exhausted.
“How is mum?” I ask him.
“Sedated they are taking her in for a C-section soon”
“Is everything alright?” I ask worried.
“Yes, she isn''t coping with the doctors, I wille get you tomorrow and bring you home to meet
your brother” He says and I fall silent. I was excited about meeting my new brother, excited to see
Rayan face knowing he is now a big brother. Yet I felt left out.
“Dad?”
“I know you have questions Lucy, your mother is sick. I wille see you tomorrow, you deserve
answers. Maybe once you have them you may understand, but it isn’t your mother Lucy, she loves you
but she is unwell and I can’t keep this from you any more” he tells me.
“But she is going to be ok?” I ask him.
“Yes Lucy, not physically sick, all that time in captivity and everything that happened afterwards
has taken a toll on her, she is no longer the woman I first met and please understand but I may have to
hurt her to fix her so please don’t hate me for it”
“What do you mean?” I ask, what does he mean to hurt her, why would he need to hurt her.
“I promise I will exin, Rayan has been pestering me to tell you but I didn’t know how, I wille
get you tomorrow. I love you lucy” He says before cutting off the link.
I felt sick, I wanted to know what was going on yet I was also too scared now to ask. Why was
Rayan allowed to know when I wasn’t, why would Rayan keep it from me. I knew the answer to that
though because Rayan and I had no secrets. So if he is keeping it from me, it was to protect me, but
from what?
Hearing the door open, I am pulled from my head and I look over the back of the couch to see
Tyson walk in with mcdonalds, he walks over and ces food down before hees over and he
leans over the couch before wrapping his arms around my shoulders with a blood bag in his hand. He

I sniff the air before looking at him. “This is your blood isn’t it?” He kisses my cheek before walking
off back to the kitchen. I punch a hole in it while Tyson brings dinner over and ces it on the coffee
table. A growl escapes me when his blood floods my mouth, he tasted as good as he smelt, better
even and I could feel my vision changing, the room turning a red.
Tyson sits back eating his burger not even fazed by me drinking blood, like it was a can of coke I
was holding and not his blood.
They drank blood too, but they could go without it for months if they wanted too, there bloodlust was
tamed by their wolves when they hunted and they were only half vampire, blood lust seemed to be a
big issue for the females in his bloodline, like his sisters and mother but the boys picked up more of
their fathers traits then their mother’s.
I drain the bag rather quickly and Tyson looks at me. “Do you want more?” I shake my head, my
cheeks heating and I go to get up, unable to be in such close proximity to him. I now smelt like him and
that was doing strange things to me, making me crave him, crave his scent. Tyson pulls me back down
on the couch.
“Don’t feel embarrassed Lucy,” He says, grabbing the blood bag from my fingers and chucking it
on the coffee table before he pulls me closer, wrapping his arm around me and making me lean on him.
“I like that you smell of me, don’t be embarrassed because you like it too, it''s okay to want to be
with us Lucy” He says, pressing his lips to my head.
“Don’t you find it weird though, you watched me grow up, saw all my awkward fazes” I tell him.
“No, you got to see ours too, you’re mine. I like knowing everything about you, why is it weird to
you?” He asks.
“Not really, just everyone will think it odd” I tell him.
“No they won’t, we don’t choose our mates Lucy, and even if we did I would still choose you, have
Ace and I not shown we have always loved you Lucy, from the moment we found you we have been
attached to you” he says.
“Yeah but that was the bond, you just didn’t realise it” I tell him.
“Maybe, but before the bond kicked in we still could have chosen to be away from you, we could
have gone back to our mother, we stayed because we loved you and your mother, and our brother. I
think I always knew you were going to be ours, even before we realised, that is why I waited”
“You were with Tara for a while though” I tell him, she was actually a nice girl, I thought for sure
they would have been mates.
“Yes but it never felt right, so we never did anything Lucy, Ace was a dick for not waiting for his
mate, but I am d I did” He tells me.
