I became ravaged by emotions and felt devastated hearing what Dane said.
“What do you mean by the Werewolf Council can’t be stopped when they’ve started hearing!. You
are joking, right?” I furiously asked Dane, looking at his face expecting him to miraculously tell me it
wasn’t true.
“No, I am not joking, Kaiden” Dane replied with no hint of joke on his face.
*S**t!” I furrowed my brows, although I was expecting this. I couldn’t bring myself to believe that the
hearing would go on especially with Freda being like this.
“At least, there should be an exception forplicated reasons. What do you think Dane?” Thinking
of this gave me a little glimmer of hope but seeing the countenance on Dane’s face it slowly faded

would happen if what he said was true. He scrolled up for a while before finally stopping then he

I felt like exploding. What he just read was like a dynamite and it sc**ed every part of me. I found it

“Who even wrote this nonsense of a thing?” I ranted angrily.
“Kaiden, I think you should try to calm down,” Dane said trying to reduce my anger.
“And how would I do that?” I stomped the floor hard with my foot. “They are so unbelievable. How
can they be this wicked and so cruel?, What were they thinking when they were writing it!?” I yelled
and that caused some passer-by to nce at me strangely. I ruffled my hair with annoyance.
“So let us figure out something, like another way to go about this.” Dane gently suggested looking at
my face.

“If she would have to continue going for hearing then we need to trulye up with another n
that would be efficient” I admitted and tried to calm down so I could think of a way to help her and
stop everything from bing worse.
“Not possible” Dane mumbled under his breath.
“What do you mean by not possible” I angrily asked him, it seemed like he didn’t want me to hear
what he said.
“I thought of you going to personally speak to the head of the council and realized it wouldn’t work.
That’s why I mumbled that. I didn’t mean anything” Dane said.
“Ohh, I get you now,” I said after understanding why he mumbled what he said.
I really wanted to make things easier for her and I couldn’t wait to see her happy. With her condition
worsened she can’t be going for hearing. How did I get this so wrong to lead us right here?
“Since we can’t stop the hearing regardless of any circumstance then we have to find evidence to
prove her innocence to the council. The faster we gather any evidence we find, the faster the
hearing stops and the better Freda will be. So let’s quickly get to it” I looked at Dane with a new
profound hope in me, feeling like a phone that hadn’t been charged in a long time.
“Nice idea, but where do we start the gathering of evidence?” Dane asked me.
“The main culprit is Safiya, she nned everything and med Freda” I gritted my teeth.

“Getting evidence from Safiya would be somehow hard and it might take time,” I said.
“That’s true, if only we were there to witness the event and know what really happened” Dane
sighed

happened to her”
“Wait!, Why don’t we ask Freda and Lyra about what happened? Maybe that would give us clues”
Dane said eagerly.
“You are right, we can also check the CCTV camera to find out about the incident and ask every
single person we see there during that time” I concluded.
