Immediately Harper confessed that Cisco wasn’t the one that pushed her, I immediately heaved a
breath of relief. It wasn’t like I didn’t trust my son but kids could be confused at times and who
knows, Harper could have been influenced by Safiya’s yelling and me Cisco in the midst of her
fear.
I turned back to see a crawling Safiya on the floor. Serves her right! I thought, then shifted my gaze
to Kaiden. He looked ashamed as he tried to avoid my stare.
I couldn’t care less if he wanted the ground to open up and swallow him. I was going to make him
regret his actions. I should have felt guilty for pping him but I did not.
I was tired of their games. Narrowing my eyes, I began to speak, breaking the tense silence in the

“I hope the both of you heard clearly what Harper just said. In case you didn’t, I’d like to rify it for
you all. Cisco didn’t push Harper”. I tried to hide the hurt in my voice as I finished.

I knew Lyra had been waiting for her turn to hurl insults at Kaiden but he was still an Alpha and

anger. I gave Lyra a look that said ‘this is my fight, I want to do it alone’ and she nodded and
stopped talking.
“I hope I have made my point clear, it’s either you kneel in front of the pack council and apologize or
you get arrested by the pack police. There are no two ways about it”. I stated and gave Safiya and

Immediately we got outside I heaved a breath of relief and my tensed shoulders rxed a little.
Having to face Safiya and Kaiden always drained my energy. It was a constant headache dealing
with both of them.

replied with a light smile.
