Ok…I think I have made a very big mistake.
Safiya stood in front of me sobbing tragically like a beauty in need of help.
“What have I done to you Freda, why the sudden hate on me” Safiya cried, her beautiful green orbs
which we had both inherited from our mother was glistening with tears.
Her pointed nose was red from sniveling.
“Why are you crying like a little child, it’s not like Freda said anything wrong to you” Lyra scowled at
Safiya, I knew that if I wasn’t holding onto her hands, then she would have flown at Safiya and
battled it out with her.
“That’s a lie Lyra because she is your friend doesn’t mean that you should support her wrongdoing”
Sophia,one of Safiya’s friends countered.
She was such a nosy b**h, one that I detested and many times I had fantasized of pulling out her
hair.
“”You little imp, I’m going to pull out all your teeth! What do you mean by siding with Freda?” Lyra
said, her face enraged. Sophie whimpered and stepped back.
“What’s going on here?” I heard Kaiden’s deep voice and I felt my heart s**p a beat at the sheer

Safiya pounced into his arms and burst into loud cries.
Kaiden whispered soothing words to her while rubbing her mass of blonde tresses soothingly.
I stared at the loving couple before me, envy in my eyes.
Once Safiya had calmed down, Kaiden looked at me before saying “I want to see you in my office
right now, Freda”
He carried Safiya in his arms into the pack house.

“I expected better than this from you” Kaiden began.
I crossed my hands and waited for him to continue his judgefull tirade
“you know how soft hearted your sister is, you should try to put up with her sometimes…”
“You never asked what she did to me, all you keep on saying is that I should put up with her, well I
don’t want to anymore” I spat
out.
He looked at me with raised eyes
“Oh is this all about my request? Why can’t you be understanding for once”
“Understanding?I’ve been trying to be understanding for a very long time now, yet what do I get in
return?She rubs it in my face that she owns you, that she would reject her mate even if she

finds him because you belong to her?” I asked.
I watched Kaiden’s eyes widen in realization.
“Oh..you already know about her ns? Yet you still ask me to Wait till she’s 18?, why do you keep
on lying to me?” I yelled at him.
Kaiden raked his hands through his head and walked closer to me “I’m going to convince her Freda,
I made a promise to you and I will try to keep it “he said and pressed a kiss on my forehead.
‘-reject him’ Gia growled at me, she has always been saying this since we found out that Kaiden
was our mate but I paid deaf ears to her.
I’ve loved Kaiden even before I found out he was my mate and I’ve always wished to be his
mate so I wouldn’t let go of such an opportunity.
“Stop that, it’s yucky!” I heard Safiya squeal from the opposite side of the table,I looked at them and
indeed they were entangled together.
Kaiden was trying so hard to feed her orange jelly, which Safiya was not a fan of.

“What’s your deal with them? Why do you hate them so much or is there something you are not
telling me?” I asked her.
Lyra shrugged.

“I just keep on feeling that they don’t match, they won’t make good Alpha and Luna together” Lyra
said.
“You are the first person saying this, everyone says that they suit each other” I answered, inside of
me, I was feeling giddy that someone finally saw them as unfit for each other.
“Listen up everyone, I have good news for y’all” Safiya suddenly said, jolting me out of my thoughts.
I looked at her with interest, wanting to know what she was about to say.
“You all know that September is my birthday and I’m turning 18 on that day but since Kaiden will
most likely be my mate, we have decided to get engaged next week,”She said with a wide smile on
her face.
I felt the world around me stop as my heart broke into pieces.
Like a puppet being controlled,I stood up from my seat and objected.
“That would never happen”
I felt the eyes of the whole pack on me, including the eyes Kaiden who was desperately winking at
me to sit down but hell I was tired of keeping everything locked up in my heart.

“I, Freda Whitlock, daughter of the beta of ming wolf pack, reject you Kaiden Stirling as my mate,
from today onwards all fate holding us together has been broken and nothing will join us again” I
said.
I heard him howl loudly, was it in pain, I didn’t know.
But I and my wolf felt pain, pain stemming from the rejection and continuous betrayal of our mate.
“No” I whimpered as I felt myself slipping into darkness.
Thest thing I heard was Kaiden’s continuous howl.
