    Savannah''s POV


    Avan''s face changed several times. If it was in the past I would have felt bad for saying harsh words or


    would get scared seeing his expression. But everything has changed now. He never wanted me as a


    woman but as a mate to keep his bond to increase his own power and rule the pack. All he could think


    was his own self. After the harsh betrayal I havee to realise that what I had was not real but a


    moment of surrealism that blinded me to such an extent where I forgot my own self and forgot how to


    preserve my own respect.


    "What did you say?" Avan asked as his eyes danced with rage. He was ring at me so hard that it felt


    like he was about to explode. But I was not that weak Sh anymore who would give in to him. I am


    now Savannah, who will crush down every dirty bastard like him.


    I smirked "why? Didn''t you hear what I said just now? Do you want me to repeat it?" My eyes nced


    sideways and found a few people turning their heads and looking at us which made my smirk turn into


    a grin.


    "I must say after staying away from the pack you have got some courage Savannah. Don''t forget you


    still had some connections with Bright Shine and you should know that I, the Alpha of the pack won''t


    tolerate your misbehave" Avan spat angrily. His eyes turned blue. He normally has light blue eyes but


    when it turns into a dark shade of blue, it means his wolf is taking over his body.


    But looking at him right now, I don''t have an ounce of fear in me. I stared at him calmly. Crossing my


    arms around my chest I boldly looked at his dark blue eyes.


    "I think you are mistaken. Show your Alpha power to your pack. I am sure they will appreciate your


    power so much. But refrain yourself from doing such a thing in front of me because I am neither the


    member of your pack nor I am rted to you. For an Alpha trying to show his power to intimidate the

    Though I spent many years of my life in Bright Shine pack, at the end the truth to be told and there was


    no fucking connection between us. Farid and Selina took me away from my own parents and raised me


    there as their daughter without any care or love. Though I have treated them with respect and loyalty, in


    the end I was returned with betrayal and usations. Now, looking at him it felt like he forgot this


    matter and was still trying to bind me with his so-called pack.


    "You can deny all you want Savannah but don''t forget your adoptive parents raised you for so many


    years. But once you got your real parents you forgot about them. Is this how you are paying for their


    efforts to raise you?" Avan shamelessly used turning the point. His eyes held the challenge asking


    me to reply to him.


    I saw a few people around us start to whisper with each other. Avan was doing it intentionally. To make


    them think I am without any morals and neglecting the elders because of my own selfish needs. I


    clenched my fist. Bastard, all the shameless things were done by him and his scoundrel pack members


    and now he is pointing the me at me?

    disappeared. But before he could say I continued again.


    "The parents you are indicating were the one who stole me away from my own parents. Why? Who told


    them to steal another baby taking advantage of the situation? Is this act called morality? The parents


    you are indicating are the same couple who threw me in the corner just to make me the substitute of


    their daughter who was drowning in greed to be your Luna even though she was not your mate.

    The audience around me gasped at my sudden outburst. I felt the anger raised inside me and my chest

    I was about to step towards Avan when I felt a strong force pull me back. My back collided with a hard


    chest and a pair of arms engulfed me.

    sweetness and rxing my body immediately. I leaned more feeling thefort in his arms.


    I heard a growl and turned my head only to see Avan ring at me but more like ring at the person


    who was hugging me.


    "Who the fuck are you?" Avan growled pointing his finger.


    "Do you think you are qualified enough to know my identity? Since when did a diminutive being like you


    get such a gut to question me?" Hardwick replied arrogantly.


    If I say Avan is a proud bastard then Hardwick is an arrogant dominant. His words will be enough to


    shake you in anger if you can''t control. As expected when Avan heard these words he exploded. For a


    proud person like him will never sustain such an insult. So before anyone could think he charged


    against Hardwick using his Alpha strength. Others around us gasped as they witnessed the scene. Not


    only them, I even gasped at his action. But Hardwick pushed me behind him, making me stumble. I


    raised my head and stared at them.


    Avan''s veins almost popped out as he threw his punch with force to Hardwick. But before that could


    Avan''s stomach with his fist. That force was so strong that Avan fell on the ground as he spit out blood


    from his mouth. My eyes widened in shock. Though I know Hardwick is strong enough to face Avan, I


    was not expecting him to be this strong. Even though Avan was a bastard, he is still an Alpha and


    Alpha blood is running in his body which is kind of different from other male wolves. But now looking at


    the scene, it felt like Avan is nothing but a weak child when he was facing Hardwick.


    "What''s happening?" I heard my brother''s voice. I turned to look at him running towards us while Tanea


    followed him in panic.


    Devak frowned when he looked at Avan who was wiping the blood from his mouth "how this


    happened?" He turned towards me and asked.


    "Nothing, some people do not know how to control themselves" I shrugged.


    "Is it?" Devak gave a side nce towards Avan.


    "Next time it''s better you know who you are dealing with. If I saw you again near my Savannah I will


    make sure you don''t exist the very next day" Hardwick''s hard voicended, making my heart jump.


    Did he just call me his Savannah? A certain warm feeling spread inside me.


    "Heh, your Savannah?" Avan asked as he got up from the ground.


    Hardwick walked towards me and pulled me again in his arms before turning to look at Avan "Why? Do


    I need your permission now to im my own mate as mine?"

    I nodded my head before drinking it. From those shouting my throat felt dry all of a sudden. I just


    wanted to have some peace but it looks like Avan won''t let me have some peace of mind. Thinking


    about it gives me a headache. When I was clinging to him he didn''t spare a nce and now that I


    wanted to go far away he is chasing after me. Does not get tired from all those dramas he is putting


    up?


    "What exactly happened there?" Devak asked as he sat across from me. Currently we are in Devak''s


    tent. Since he and Tanea were not present in the incident they are actually unaware of it.


    I sighed "Avan just couldn''t wait to trouble me around. Today he used me for being unruly towards


    the so called adoptive parents"


    "That bastard" Devak clenched his fist "he still has the gut to use you like that. Is he looking for his


    own death because he is too bored in his life? If he really want it, I will grace his wish"


    I rolled my eyes. Devak is always aggressive and always thinks of killing if he is bored. Tanea pped


    his arms.


    "What are you thinking? Always killing and killing? Do you know other things other than this?"


    Devak looked at her "what do you mean? He is bullying my sister to this extent and you are stopping


    me. Did you forget you are my mate? Sav is also like a sister to you, woman"


    I double rolled my eyes this time. Now there is another headache. I leaned my head on Hardwick''s


    shoulder. His arms sneaked around my waist supporting my body.

    "Sorry, had some important things to handle"

    "My beta. I gave him some work. He was frustrated because of that" he chuckled.

    I raised my head and looked at him "but you trust him don''t you?"


    He smiled "he is like a brother to me. His father used to be the beta of Dark Forest and worked with my


    dad for so many years and devoted all his loyalty to the pack"


    I smiled "so you know Ryan since childhood?"


    "We grew up together," he nodded.


    We smiled at each other. Suddenly he leaned down nearing his head to mine. Our nose was almost


    touching as he tilted his head and about to capture my lips...


    "What did you say?"


    I jumped in shock and turned my head to look at Tanea who was ring at Devak. I almost forgot they


    are here too.


    "Come again. What did you just say?" Tanea asked again.


    "What? Isn''t it true?" Devak raised his eyebrow.


    I really don''t know what they were arguing about. I was lost in my own world and couldn''t even


    understand their points.


    "Devak Lang, how dare you?" Tanea looked so angry that I was surprised. I have never seen her


    getting like this.


    "What?" Devak asked, putting on an innocent face.


    "You ..." Tanea gritted her teeth then sneered "fine, since you are so arrogant then be it. Sleep outside


    the tent tonight" saying that she marched out of the tent leaving us shocked, mostly Devak whose jaw


    was alreadynded on ground.


    I looked at Tanea''s disappearing figure then my eyesnded on Devak whose mouth was still wide


    open. I pursed my lips trying to suppress myugh.


    "Well ...ahem... What about the game? Who''s joining today''s event?" I asked him.


    He turned to me and friends "Shiny and Jion will take part today" then his eyes snapped towards the


    door again.


    I watched his reaction and rested my chin on my palm. "don''t you think you should follow her? I mean if


    you want to enjoy your night counting the stars then it''s your choice you know"


    "Fuck" before I knew Devak''s figure disappeared from the room. I frowned and turned to look at


    Hardwick who was smirking already.


    "What was that?"


    "What? Your brother disappeared in the air?"


    I rolled my eyes "wow, what an exnation!"


    "Oh, since the crowd cleared then...." He moved then pulled me towards him.


    "What are you doing?" I frowned.


    "Don''t you think, something is still unfinished darling?"
