149- Announce and add
At my announcement, Megan gasps and nudges Darrien who smiles. Bemy gives little visible
reaction, but I can feel him rxing beside me, so apparently he’s happy to hear it too. Harry looks
stricken. I know I just confirmed something that he already suspected, but I’m not sure he totally
believed it would really be true. His brow furrows and he eats his dinner in
near silence, nodding along with the conversation while his mind is clearly elsewhere. I’ve almost
finished eating when I decide to check how he’s dealing.
“Harry? Are you alright? I didn’t mean to send you on an existential crisis or anything. You don’t need to
freak out too much. It will all work out eventually..” Harry’s headjerks up to look at me, like he had
forgotten that I was actually here.
“Sorry babe, I was just thinking that it might be worth changing my approach with her. Clearly what I
have been doing isn’t working very well.” He says pointedly, taking a sip of his drink. I had forgotten
that his drink is spelled. Harry is… sweating?
“What did that drink do to you?” I ask curiously.
“I’m not totally sure, but I feel like it’s about a million degrees in here if that helps at all.”
Huh, so she overheated him? A strange choice.
“I guess I see what you
ean by changing your approach. But you’ll manage I’m sure.” I tell him encouragingly. Suddenly an evil
grin crosses Harry’s face.
“Actually, I think I am going to keep on doing exactly what I have been doing. At least I’ve got her
attention now. I’m the only one at this table who got a special drink.” Huh, he’s… happy I’m not sure
that Cam was aiming to please him when she spiked his drink. But then again, he’s not wrong that he
has her attention. Without hesitating, Harry stands up, leans down and k*sses me on the cheek.
Bemy growls and Harry dodges away as Bemy grabs at
him.
“I have had a grand time everyone, but I think it’s about time I take my usual space at the bar… it’s a
little hot in here after all.” Harry winks and as he walks away I can see him
unbuttoning the first few buttons of his shirt. He catches the eye of more than a couple women as he
passes. Hot in here indeed.

“Oh that poor girl doesn’t know what she’s unleashed. I almost feel bad for her.” Meganments. I
shrug.
“I’m pretty sure she can handle him.”
“I could hear your conversation. I’m fairly sure she is going to chew him up and spit him out.” Bemy
says mildly, but his smirk shows an unnecessary amount of pleasure at the idea.
“You’re not the only one looking forward to it Alpha Kane.” Darrien adds with a wink. Megan and I both
giggle at that.
“And we get to hear aaaaall about it.” Megan chimes in happily.
“That is why we made the group chat.” I agree.
“Group chat?” Bemy prompts, his head tilted to the side. He angles himself to face me.
“Is that what you’re smiling at on your phone all the time?” I nod eagerly.
“Yep. The chat is me, Megan, Harry and we added Amber a couple days ago. Harry documents. his
attempts to get Cam to notice him. It’s pretty funny.” I exin.
“Yeah, he’s been telling us about her for a couple weeks now.” Megan adds.
“Add me to the group chat.” Bemy demands. I hesitate a little. Sure, the intention of the chat was to
talk about Harry’s failed attempts to woo Cam, but we discuss Bemy and
Darrien in the chat too. I mean, I guess we can always make another chat if we need to… But still. I
don’t want to ruin anything. Megan also looks a little unsure.
“You don’t want to? What else are you talking about in that chat that you don’t want me to see?”
Bemy demands. He looks annoyed, in fact he looks increasingly agitated the longer I dy
answering. Megan ends up replying before I can.
“We talk about you Bemy. Obviously. The point of the chat is for rtionship advice.” She says this
as if he’s dumb for not thinking of it earlier. A look of understanding passes Bemy’s face, then he just
shakes his head.

“Pretty sure I could use just as much advice as you guys. Add me anyway.” He insists.
“But… we can’t talk about you if you’re in the chat!” I object. Bemy pouts and looks at me
pathetically.
“Do you really need to talk about me that much? I want to hear about Cam torturing Harrison too. You
could always message your friends in another chat if you REALLY need to talk about me behind my
back. He reasons. I sigh.
“Fine, you big baby.” I grumble.
“I suppose you want to be added to the chat too?” I ask Darrien. He shrugs.
“Sure.” He then turns to face Megan.
“But since it’s a rtionship advice chat, I mostly want to know if you talk about me there or not.” He
stares at Megan pointedly causing her to blush horribly.
“I… I… well…” Megan stutters. Okay, my turn to get even for her telling Bemy that we talk
about him in the chat.
“Of course we talk about you Darrien. Don’t be dense. You’ve made your intentions clear. We have to
gossip about it somewhere, and since this is the first outing we’ve had in weeks, the
chat is 11 we’ve got.” I dere. Megan stares at me in horror.
“In that case, yes. I definitely want to be added to this group chat. Don’t feel the need to censor your
talk around me. I’d love to hear whatever youdies have been gossiping about.” He says
conspiratorially. I roll my eyes.
“Yeah that’ll happen. But yes I’ll add you both. We’ll just have to start gossiping elsewhere. Except
when ites to Harry of course. We talk about him to his face, it’s more fun that
way.”
After we finish eating we head home. I’m settled in bed wearing another of Bemy’s shirts.
and I pull out my phone.
