    Evelyn POV


    I was woken by the suning up, lighting up the backs of my eyelids. I looked around my


    surroundings only to find Rnd next to me and I was leaning on him inside the shed. How did I not


    wake up when they moved me?


    The answer was Orion who was sitting across from me staring at me and I could feel the fog lift off


    me.


    "You didn''te home, '''' he says simply. I sit up, my back cracking from the awkward position I


    was in.


    "Yeah not like any of you want me there" I tell him hopping up.


    "I thought you were destroying them, you could have just told me" he says.


    "Like I could get a word in with you screaming at me, you didn’t give me a chance to exin" I tell


    him walking to the shed''s roller door and looking out at what was left out here.


    "Why did youe here?" Orion asks and I look over my shoulder at him.


    "I didn''t mean to, I didn''t realise where I was till I stopped" I tell him looking back out at the empty


    lott. The grass trying to grow over the dirt patch that was once home.


    "I miss this ce, we used to be happy here" he says, walking over to me.


    "Yeah now it is as broken as us" I chuckle, funny how a house can represent so much in so many


    ways.


    "We aren''t broken, just a little lost," he says.


    "Lost? That''s what you call it?" I ask him.


    "We didn''t lose something Orion, he was taken from us, you are just all to blind to see it" I tell him.


    "This again? There is no proof anything happened. The fire department even said it was gas lines"


    "You say that like they can''t be bought, they could have been lying"


    "You''re delusional, that''s what you are. Fucking crazy Evelyn, sometimes there aren''t answers, you


    just want someone to me, some exnation because you can''t live believing it was an ident"


    Orion''s says.


    "That''s because it fucking wasn''t, I know it fucking wasn''t an ident, I can feel it" He scoffs


    shaking his head.


    "Fucking feel it? , What you got superpowers now, you’re fucking unbelievable" he saysughing.


    "I know it wasn''t an ident," I told him.


    "Think what you want Evelyn, it changes nothing, it doesn''t bring him back" he says.


    Orion''s phone rang in his pocket. He pulls it out before answering it.


    "Yeah we found her, we will be home soon" he says and I hear Thaddeus speaking on the other


    end.


    "Head straight home, I found something, well Mara did"


    "Mara? What do you mean?" Orion asks his eyes darting to me before flicking away.


    "I will exin when you get home" Thaddeus says before hanging up.


    Orion pockets his phone before running his hand through his hair.


    "We should head back" he says getting up and walking over to Rnd who was snoring, propped


    up against the brick wall. He shakes his shoulder, and Rnd stretches his arms above his head.


    "We need to go home," Orion tells him.


    Rnd shakes himself as he gets to his feet. "What''s going on?" He says looking between us.


    "Nothing, we need to head home, Thaddeus wants us back" Orion tells him.


    Rnd nods, walking over to me. He wraps his arms around me tugging me toward him. "Morning,


    though I don''t like camping on a concrete floor my ass is so sore" he says and I lean against him.


    "Come on let''s go," Orion says, pulling the roller door down.


    "You guys go" I tell them walking over to the dirt patch.


    "No you areing, we aren''t leaving without and I will fucking drag you home if I need to Evie"


    "Or you could go on your merry delusional way Orion" I tell him and he growls stepping forward.


    "Try it, I fucking dare you" I tell him.


    "Oh for fucks sake can we not argue for one bloody day, it is too early for this shit" Rnd says.


    "Evelyn now!" Orion orders. I turn away continuing to the dirt patch when I feel myself jerked back


    by my shirt.


    "Enough you''reing home with us" Rnd says.


    "Just go, I will catch up" I tell him. He jerks me back to him refusing to let go before he starts


    walking. Pulling me backwards by my shirt. I pull my arms through slipping it off before stumbling


    backwards, my heel hitting something in the ground and Ind on my ass.


    "Evelyn!" Rnd growls spinning around holding my shirt in his hand yet I was too focused on


    what I tripped on something red peeking out of the ground.


    A round cylinder barely visible under the dirt,pacted into the ground. I start digging at it trying


    to unbury it when I am ripped upwards by my arm.


    "Stop it Evelyn, let''s go home" Orion says and I elbow him . He groans, letting go and I start


    digging with my hands again, finding the edge. Rnd reaches down to grab me then stops noticing


    what I am trying to get out of the dirt.


    I pull it out seeing a small digital screen. When suddenly Rnd snatches it from my hand looking


    at it.


    I snatch it back, turning it over. It was some sort of device. Yet it felt empty, I shook it.


    "Don''t shake it, I think that''s a pipe bomb,”Rnd says and I shake it again, trying to listen for


    anything in it.


    “Evelyn stop shaking it, what if it goes off?" Rnd says.


    "It''s hollow" I tell him before looking at Orion. I ram it in his chest and he grabs it in his hands


    looking at it before looking at me, his lips part in shock.
