I made a promise to Ang FIVE years ago when our twins were born to keep looking for our daughter and five yearster, I still kept that
promise
Looking <b>back</b>, I’d never imagined I would look for Reina this long. As each year passed, Ang and I kept on wondering what our baby girl would look like. We knew she was still alive out there somewhere, we just didn’t <b>know </b>where.
I’d sent out letters<b>, </b>emails, and calls to various <b>packs </b>together with her picture but nothing hade back positive about it. Instead, we’ve received our fair share of <b>prank </b>calls, fake messages, and sometimes even locations. All of which turned out to be lies but that didn’t stop us. Instead, it motivated us to keep going.
<b>I </b>stared at the picture of my family on my office table. Ang had painted all of us including Reina in the frame and it brought <b>joy </b>to my heart each time I stared <b>at </b>it. It gave <b>me </b>hope that one day my girl would be in that picture and not just as a painting.
<b>A </b>knock resounded <b>on </b>my office door and Azalea walked <b>in </b>
“Alpha Darius,”
“Azalea, or should I say stepfather–inw!”
He smirked.
It’s tooplicated. Just call me Gamma Azalea,”
Quite a number of changes have urred in the <b>pack </b>in the past five years. Charles had be my Beta and Azalea had be my Gamma<b>. </b>
Charles found <b>his </b>mate <b>and </b>left the <b>pack </b>to stay with her the next day. He didn’t even think about it twice before he left his position and responsibility as the Beta and left. Ang said Halle dodged a bullet by choosing her true mate over her fantasy. That is, Jude instead of Charles. Stanley assumed the position of Beta and Azalea retained his position <b>as </b>Gamma. He <b>said </b>he came here to serve with me and not to be the Beta. He believed he would work directly with me <b>as </b><b>Gamma </b>rather than as the Beta.
Azalea was yet to find his mate and Stanley found his already. It’s ratherplicated as well and <b>Stanley </b>wasn’t ready for such amitment. I guess I was surrounded by a bunch of lunatics.
“Someone <b>has </b><b>something </b>for you, I frowned.
“Regarding what?”
“Reina’s disappearance. He’s one of the Warriors who came into the pack with Alpha Mason weeks before it happened. He left with Mason that night and had stayed at the pce for the past five years so he didn’t really know Reina was missing until he went to see <b>Mason </b>because of some important <b>issues</b>,
I gripped my pen <b>tightly</b>,

I stood up from my <b>seat </b><b>as </b>a ray of hope suddenly appeared before my eyes. I was itching to find out what he knew.
“Alpha Darius,”
He bowed just <b>as </b>he walked in. His face looked really <b>familiar </b>to me
“Azalea said you have something to tell me,”
“Yes, Alpha My name is Urial and I’ve been working with the werewolf king for five years. I was here five years ago with Alpha Mason before I left for the pce. I didn’t know <b>you </b>were searching for your daughter. I’m so sorry about that,”

He took <b>a </b><b>seat </b>and both Azalea and I did the same.

“I came into the pack back then with an injury so I was being treated at the hospital. I had forgotten some of my <b>belongings </b>at the hospital so the car had to turn back to bring me here to get them. After dropping me off at the gates, I was walking back and I saw a man and a little girl. They were really close to that flower garden. The girl was <b>quite </b>ufortable with him but he quickly mentioned the girl was his daughter before I could ask them any question. <b>I </b>assumed he was trying to get his daughter out of the <b>rain </b>and left them there,
1 brought out a picture of Reina. “Was this the girl!”
He stared at the picture for a while. “<b>I </b>think it was her but at the same time I can’t be too sure. It’s been five years but <b>as </b>for the <b>man</b>, he had a tattoo on his neck. One of <b>a </b>wolf with a bead
Immediately he mentioned that, I remembered my father had one too on <b>his </b>neck.
“Which side of his neck!”
He pointed to the right side. “Right here. I had a torchlight with me that night. He wasn’t wearing a raincoat either,” “Cany
you recognize this man?
He nodded. “His body was found five years ago. It was washed ashore. An incident happened that involved us investigating old, mysterious cases with simr patterns. I saw the picture from the scene and it reminded me of that night, 1 realized I had to talk to Alpha Mason to gain an audience with <b>you</b>.”
“Fuck!” I groaned.
The way he was killed and the riverbank he was found led us to Ryker. Ryker owned up to killing him but said he did so because he crossed his border without his permission. We don’t think Ryker had an ulterior motive because several others had been killed the same way by him,” “He was my only lead to finding my daughter and Ryker killed him for a stupid reason,”
“And several others too who are likely innocent. Ryker is currently being tried by the Pce. If we find any information on this man, I’ll let <b>you </b>know.
“Thank you. Uriel.”
“I live to serve the werewolf kingdom and your pack saved my life five years ago. I owe you a lot,”
I hummed, Azalea and him left the room. I ced my head on my palm and took a deep breath.
One thing was clear. Reina <b>was </b>kidnapped by someone. The other mystery <b>was </b>how he was able to gain ess to my house. Another mystery was where the hell did he took my girl to!
I picked up my phone and left for home. It was mid–afternoon and I needed to see my family
As I walked through the front door of the Alpha’s mansion, three cuddle monsters ran towards me,
“Daddy,” the three of them, my twins including Ang’s half–sister, the daughter her mom had all jumped on my neck while I went on to tackle. them to the floor.
I began tickling them. They startedughing and screaming,
“Mummy, tell him to stop. Liam, my <b>son </b>screamed.
Ang came out of the kitchen
“Really, Alpha Darius,”
“Uncle Daddy is so strong Brianna, Ang’s <b>half</b>–sister yelled.

They all screamed before they dashed off, running up the <b>stairs </b>with their tiny legs andughing widely.

“It’s never silent in this house, Ang whined <b>as </b>she worked in the kitchen.
I wrapped my hands around her and <b>buried </b>my head in her neck, I took in her scent.
“I miss you
“You saw <b>the </b><b>five </b>hours ago.
“What!” I yelled and she red at me. “<b>That </b>was such a long time ago. I deserve to be seeing you every two seconds,
“Maybe you should retire as the Alpha<b>,</b><b>” </b>
“That’s <b>a </b>really brilliant idea,
Sheughed. “You were really looking for an <b>excuse </b>to quit, weren’t you? You know we <b>can’t </b>leave. If Reins ever wants toe back home, this is the <b>only </b>home she knows”
That was the only reason why I was still staying in <b>that </b>pack. I wanted to <b>leave </b>and go on a long vacation with my family but my daughter was still out there. She deserved toe back <b>home </b>and not wait for us any longer.
“Someone came to the pack today. He saw Reina getting kidnapped by a man that night. He thought he was her father until he came across his case file from <b>five </b>years ago. Apparently, <b>he’s </b>dead. Another dead end,
Ang smiled and lifted my <b>chin</b>. “No, Darius. One way opens up for the new one. This is the start. It’s a good sign. Reina would be back home soon. Soon, Darius,”
“Soon baby.”
I grabbed her <b>waist </b>and ced my head on her shoulder
“I have an idea, She listened diligently. “How about we have another baby <b>while </b>waiting for her to get back?”
Sheughed. No way. I’m done popping out your giants,”
Iughed with her. Whatever she wanted was <b>what </b>I wanted.
Those cuddle monsters <b>came </b>rumming down the stairs and began arguing about who got there first and who was the strongest.
I left the kitchen to join them.
“How about we do this? Whoever gets to the room first, arranges the bed, <b>and </b>bes silent for the next three hours is the stronges They all became silent and I could see those judging eyes, <b>ring </b>at me.
“We’re not dummies Daddy,” my daughter answered.
Ang came out of the kitchen.
That didn’t work,”
<b>I </b>groaned. “I swear it didn’t,”
<b>Leave </b>it to me,
I took

k and let her take the <b>stage</b>.
“I’m going to close my eyes right now. Whoever isn’t in their room, arranging their space and gemning some good ole afternoon naps will spend the rest of the afternoon helping me with the onions in the pack’s kitchen,”
Within the blink of an eye, I watched as they all picked up their tiny legs and ran up the <b>stairs</b>.
“What <b>have </b>you done to my kids, Ang!”
“Show them who’s the boss<b>,</b>”
“You are, my love. You’re my best gift and I love <b>you </b>so <b>damn </b>much,”

“Call me Alpha Darius,”

“I’m not ready to get pregnant again,”
“Reina deserves more siblings”
“Let her deal with these three first
“She’ll be disappointed if she gets back and sees we had only two more and the third one was courtesy of your mom,”
She raised her eyebrow at me. “Fine, F*ck me good, but don’t impregnate me,”

She threw her hands around my neck and I lifted her up so she could wrap her legs around my body. I kissed her and she kissed me back.
Our lives weren’t perfect. Our home wasn’t but we’ve learned to love each other through the good and the bad. We’d learned to lean on each other, help ourselves, and keep the fire burning in our home.
Our love story might have ws but we were living it and we had no ns of giving up on each other or on any of our kids
