 Alpha Calhoun’s gaze registered shock and guilt. “Asena? What are you doing here? Isn’t your graduation next week? Why did you not call me to pick you up from the airport?” He asked all at once.

 He felt responsible for her and was remorseful for not having been there. Asena had a blend of excitement and disappointment on her face as sheined.

 “You said you would never forget the date when I sent it to you.”

 Cal raked his mind, recalling everything vividly. He wrapped his arm around her waist as she sat on hisp. “I read the date. It was the sixteenth.” “No, the sixth,” Asena corrected him, and he felt deeply remorseful.
