Chapter 114
Alpha Nick, who was strolling with Sheridan, quickly pulled her into his arms as if danger
surrounded them.
“Tom? You know you are supposed to be dead, right?” Alpha Nick asked. Sheridan heard the name
and signaled him. to put the conversation on speaker mode.
Alpha Nick did so as Sheridan copied the strange number on Alpha Nick’s phone. She instantly
initiated a tracker. If Tom could stay on the line for at least a minute, they would know his location.
At the end of the line, Tom was nervous but did not have anyone else in mind to help him at this
moment. He proceeded to speak over the phone.
“Alpha Nick, since I’m alive, please spare me.”
Suspicion zed Alpha Nick’s voice as he retorted, “If that was the only thing you wanted, you
would not have called. Where is Charlotte?”
There were no mincing words with Alpha Nick when it involved the safety of his pack and loved
ones.
“I can’t give you
you information about her for free. Tom responded, fearing the worst.
Good thing he was far from the Dark Moon Pack, and should Alpha Nick send anyone after him, he
would have escaped before the person appeared.
“Both of you are going to die anyway,” Nick said seriously, not ready for any bargains. The duo was
a threat to his pack, and he had to act fast before the menace spread like amunicable disease
“What she’s up to has nothing to do with me,” Tom tried to rify, Nick’s interest peaked at
knowing what Charlotte
was up to.
Athena said some things, and though Nick was aware, he still needed the details. “How did you
manage to escape?” He asked seriously. Tom did not speak immediately, rather thinking seriously
about his demand.
“All that information would be given if you give me what I want.”
Nick was amazed by his guts to negotiate anything with him at a time like this but chose to listen.
“What do you
want?
Tom should be ashamed, but Alpha Nick was the one who destroyed his business andid his
cards on the table.
“I need money to start over. You already ruined my businesses.”
Sheridan was smiling, and so was Alpha Nick, but both for different reasons. “You are smart enough
to know that I did, but what makes you think that I will be willing to help or give you my money
when I want you dead?” Alpha Nick asked, hoping for a way toplete what he started with both
individuals.
“That’s because the information I will give you will help you to nail Charlotte. Trust me, it shall be
worth it
“Trust you?” Alpha Nickughed. “That is like hanging myself on the neck.” The man was not
making it easy for his former best friend.
Alpha Nick listened to Tom’s next excuse, which was rather a sensible one.
“I understand, but I have changed. I just want to start my life afresh. Look, I’m sorry for everything. I
hurt you, but you got better. Charlotte can neverpare with Sheridan.”

“You should thank me for it. If I hadn’t lured her away, you would have marked her the first time you
met and would have never had Sheridan.”
Alpha Nick recalled that it was true. Come to think of it, he could not punish himself to be on the
same bed with Charlotte.
With Sheridan in his arms, Alpha Nick was ready to let things go for Tom, but a different rule applied
to Charlotte.
“What assurance do I have that after giving you the money, you will give me the information I
need?”
Tom thought of a coteral and used a human one. “My parents are still alive. Even if I escape, they
are still vulnerable.
Alpha Nick was satisfied with the answer and asked, “So how much are we looking at?”
“Just half a million. I’m already in front of the bank. If you send the money, I will withdraw it and give
you the information,” “Tom said nervously from the end of the line.
“Hold on,” Alpha Nick said and faced Sheridan after putting the call on hold. “What do you think?”
Sheridan did not have to think much to answer this. “With his parents on the line, I think it’s worth
taking the risk. We need to end Charlotte.
Alpha Nick agreed with her, instantly transferring the money with Tom on the line. As soon as it was
confirmed, he tapped the unmute button.
“Have you got it?” Tom spoke from the end of the line, no one took him seriously because his
presence was not registered.
“I have to go to the bank to check. This phone isn’t mine. I will call you after withdrawing the
money,” Tom said and ended the call.
Alpha Nick stared at Sheridan in his arms after the screen of the phone went dark. “I hope this
works out.”
Sheridan’s head bobbed confidently. “Same here, but at least he said the truth about his location,”
she said, Alpha Nick’s curious gazended on her.
“How did you know?” He asked softly. Sheridan exined it to him.
“I’ve been tracking him.”
Alpha Nick was proud to have her. “I’m d it’s you.”
The pack was quiet, so they strolled around, engrossed in a conversation before Alpha Nick’s
phone rang again.
“I got the money. Thanks. Charlotte is at the magic pack. She seems to have some strange powers
and rescued me. I woke up to find myself at the magic pack, but she told me to stay so we can
revenge on you.”
Alpha Nick’s arm around Sheridan stiffened instantly. “I was given the chance to either join her
ns or leave with nothing. I chose thetter. I don’t know the details of her ns, but I know she’s
coming for you. I also gave you the location,” Tom pointed out on the phone.
“How did you get to the magic pack?” Alpha Nick asked.
“I don’t know. You must have some magic. I’ve done my part. The rest is on you. Thanks, Nick. I’m
very sorry for betraying your trust, but I promise you would never see me again.”
It was good to keep one’s fiends close and their enemies closer, but Alpha Nick was satisfied with
the coteral.

“I wish you all the best, Tom, but if I find out that you lied to me, I would not onlye back for my
money but also your life.”
“I already experienced your anger. That would never happen.” Tom said seriously.
Alpha Nick merely ended the call when a mindlink zapped through his mind. “Ma’am and Alpha
Arnold are back.”
Alpha Nick smiled and said to Sheridan. “Since we are talking about the magic pack, mom is back
and is with Arnold. We should go and find out more.”
