Alpha Nick was equally lost in thought. She was now beyond their reach, but he also knew that she had a weakness. It might be a
selfish move, but Alpha Nick was determined to capitalize on it.
“I’m trying, but it’s not easy. I won’t give up anyway.”
“But what if she disappears again?” Beta Dustin asked worriedly. He hadn’t had the chance to apologize to She and was greatly

worried about it, but Alpha Nick’s response awakened his hope.
“I already left my bodyguards there to be watching and reporting her movements to me. I lost her before, and I won’t make
the mistake of losing her again. I have to know where she is at every point in time. That is until I manage to get her back to this pack. I would find a
day to meet with the Alpha King concerning her,” Alpha Nick revealed seriously when another scream was heard from Charlotte’s room.
Bree frowned, regretting defying her brother and moving Charlotte to a better room. Beta Dustin was
grossly annoyed, unable to keep it in and screamed,
“Can you shut that girl up? She’s been screaming since the storm began. Is she some kind of a kid?”
“I know exactly what to do,” Alpha Nick said with an evil smile. She suffered his indifference and harsh words under this same roof because of the
stupid bitch, so why should he allow her to disturb the peace of the family?
“What would you do?” Beta Dustin asked curiously. Alpha Nick did not answer. Going to the fridge, he picked a bottle of ice–
cold water. “I hope it isn’t what I’m thinking.”
Alpha Nick’s lips curled up into a smirk. “She deserves every torture. Where is Tom?”.
“In the opposite room. He has been off ever since hearing the news about his
company. The pack members beat him and Charlotte up too,” Beta Dustin revealed. Alpha Nick smiled.
“He hasn’t seen anything yet. Until She marries me again, I would not reject Charlotte. Neither would
I let them go. They have to suffer for all they made me put She through, and oh, her real name
is Sheridan Warner. She was also the woman I told you about.”

He didn’t want Bree to understand that part as it was only between men. Beta Dustin understood, and his
heart warmed. If both Alpha Nick and She gave their first time to each other, then that was an eternal bond. Hope grew in his heart for the pair being to

Charlotte slept. She was squatting in a corner of the room, and through the candle light, she saw Alpha Nick’s figure, running to him.

cold water came sshing down on her, and she was shivering and screaming. Alpha Nick spoke calmly.
“You are disturbing the pack house. Unless you want me to throw you out of it.” Remembering her he saw Tom’s fingers on her body during the
g night, his nose scrunched up in disgust. “I think you need a shower. You stink.”
Charlotte had no idea what exactly he meant by that, as she already had her
shower before the power cut. The tenderness she used to see in his eyes was gone, reced with coldness. “Nick, what happened?”
Alpha Nick was not going to tell her. Just as he was kept in the dark about her evil deeds, she was going to be kept in the dark
about his revenge n.
“Didn’t I tell you? You are disgracing me and this pack. Have you been training well?” He referred her back to the only thing he could use against
her. Charlotte was devastated. She had wanted to beg him to continue the project of her parents‘ house, but his countenance was too scary for
her to ask.
“The pack members hate me. They won’t train with me. Will you teach me?” She asked with a pitiful expression. Alpha Nick’s lips curled upwards

as he got the opportunity to beat her up himself.
“Of course. We shall train together.”
This time, Charlotte didn’t miss the darkness in his eyes, it crippled her hopes. “No. Please let me train with Tom.”
A scornful smile curled up his lips as he responded, “I will think about it.” He wasn’t done with Tom as well, so both he and
Charlotte were going to make a good match for his revenge n.
The next day, Alpha Nick woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. Seeing the caller ID, his heart did a

“She, you called.”
She sounded indifferent at the end of the line. “A promise is a promise. You have my number now. Get
your men away from my house or I’ll blow you.”
Alpha Nick smiled. She was even smarter than he thought. “Okay. But you have to promise to not just
disappear from my life again.”.
“There is nothing between us. I can do whatever I want,” She responded promptly from the end of the
line.
Alpha Nick was helpless. “Don’t you miss Angie and Athena? The pack members ask of you every day.
Why not pay them a visit? Just for a few days,” Alpha Nick pushed his luck once more.
At the end of the line, She was having a hard time. She missed all those people he mentioned, but
after all that happened between her and Alpha Nick, she didn’t have the courage to return, lest she fell
for his charms again.
“I’m sorry. I already severed ties with the Dark Moon pack.” The call ended immediately, and Alpha
Nick’s hopes crashed.
A few weekster, Sheridan was making some
new arrangements for the Moon Shine pack members concerning their living conditions. She excitedly presented her proposal to her father, who was als
boss.
“Dad, I was thinking about everyone increasing their workload, but I will also increase their sries by *fifty percent.”
Her father mused over
the suggestion. Sheridan had introduced some new projects, so the pack members had to work
harder. “If they agree to increase their workload, then the fifty percent is indeed
Sheridan smiled in satisfaction. “Alright. I will go talk to them.” She suddenly covered her mouth and ran to the washroom in the office. Her
mother stared at the entrance of the washroom, then her attention directed to Goldie as she asked in a whisper,
