    My dad! My dad''s hitched breath sounded through the phone, and with it, my eyes began to water uncontrobly. He was alive! He really was alive.


    "Daddy... Dad, are you alright?" He couldn''t speak! Every single time I heard him open his mouth to utter the words that rested on the tip of his tongue, his voice would seemingly get caught in his throat, causing nothing but stuttering toe out. "Dad"?!
