Lillianpletely froze. Then a trace of embarrassment shed across her face.
She bit her lower lip, tears welling in her eyes. "You didn''te to the wedding. You didn''t rescue me.
You made me the person I am today. Do you have any idea what I''ve been through these past few
years? I had to put up with my husband staying out all night. He didn''t love me at all. He just thought
that I was pretty, and going out with me by his side made him look good. I was too young to make the

"Enough!" Cedrick''s face was utterly sullen as he interrupted her with a cold voice. Then he said, "The
past is the past. I have nothing to do with you from now on. I heard that you received five hundred

Lillian''s face was a little pale. She realized that Cedrick was serious. He did not love her anymore.
