“But still, before then, you need to be very careful around her. I know you trust her but I don’t. Remember

Broderick’s phone rang and seeing that the caller ID was Irvin, he answered the call,” what’s up?”
“Boss, I have dropped Lord Dous and Nell in a new country but Lord Dous is pleading that…”
“Ignore him ande home soon,” Broderick said.
“I mean he’s pleading that he wants to speak with you,” Irvin said.
Broderick had thought that the Lord Dous was plead ing to be brought back to North Hill.
“I guess he wants to plead on,” Broderick said.
“Or he probably want to say somest words, sir since he wouldn’t be able to reach you anymore after
today,” Irvin said.
“Okay, hand the phone over to him.”

bring us back to North Hill. I guess he must have killed you before then.”
“Michael?” Broderick called wondering if the man knows what he was saying.
“Did you think Michael is dead?” Lord Dousughed. “Bye for now, Broderick. See you soon.”
Broderick was utterly confused. “Boss!” Irvin’s voice came through
“Come home quick, it’s not safe for you over there,” Brod erick said and once Irvin confirmed he got his
message, he hung the call up.
“I heard you mention Michael, what about him?” Amy asked.
“Michael is alive,” Broderick dered and Amy’s heart jumped repeatedly.
Amy walked closer to him and said, “are you serious? Did n’t you say he fell off a cliff?”
“That’s right. But he might have survived one way or the other,” Broderick said. “Howe he had been
hiding him self. Even during the intense battles between North Hill and other countries, he was no where
to be found. He even watched as Irvin took Lord Dous and Nell away yet he was quiet.” Broderick
thought deeply.
Amy sat on the bed and asked,” what do we do now? We need to find his whereabout?”
“We need to increase the measure of our safety first,” Broderick said and stood,” I’ll check on you
tomorrow evening.” He then began to walk out.
Amy ran after him and asked, “Broderick, where are you heading to?”
He turned to her and kissed her on her forehead,” don’t worry, Amy. I’ll be fine.” He then got inside his
car quickly and drove away.
Actually, he was far from being fine. His mind was unset tled. He parked by a road side and called a
soldier in the un
derworld to go over to Amy’s house with some soldiers and ensure the safety of her and the kids then he
continued driv ing.
Whereas, as Broderick left, the man who was assigned to kill Amy by Elva immediately walked towards
the door of Amy’s house. Luckily for him, the door wasn’t locked. He walked inside and locked the door
from behind then brought out his gun and began to carefully approach the master bed room.
Amy walked to the kitchen as soon as Broderick left to cook food, she has to ensure that the food is
ready before her childrenes back from school. In a few minutes times, she was sure the children
would be back home.
After ensuring that the food was on gas, she casually walked outside of the kitchen then saw the back
image of a man entering her room. The cloth the man was wearing was n’t like that of Broderick plus this
person wasn’t as tall as Broderick

no way she could reach out to Broderick for help.

where she was and as if the man heard some steps in the kitchen, he started walking towards the
kitchen carefully. His gun pointed straight to the door as if he would pull the trigger as soon as he sighted
anyone.
Eventhough there was a dead silence in the room, he kept walking towards the kitchen nheless. His
assassin instinct made him guess that there could be someone hiding in the kitchen. Afterall, he was
sure that Amy was inside since she saw her when she walked back inside the house after Broder ick
drove away.
