and answered, “Hello, Michael?”
“Where do you eat? I’m right outside. Do you want me to pick you up?” Michael asked.
“Sure,” said Cassandra. She then gave Michael the restaurant’s name.
Michael said, “I happened to be around. I’ll be there in a few minutes.”
“Okay, I’ll wait for you then,” replied Cassandra.
After ending the call, Zachary asked with a faint smile, “I’m guessing from the tone of your voice, it
must be your boyfriend calling to check on you, right, Ms. Jackson? Beautiful girls like you must have
many admirers.”
Hearing someone praising Cassandra’s beauty, Reba became very displeased, coldness appearing
in her
eyes.
