It was Sasha… but not with my father. She was with another man!
“Oh, Richard…” I could hear her moaning. “Don’t! Stop it! What would you do if someone came over

Before he responded to my question, he extended his hand and shook the bamboo tree that was next
to us. In an instant, the eagle that had been perched on the tall bamboo rushed over to us at a high
rate of speed. Then itnded on his hand, but his wrist was scratched by the eagle’s ws because he
was not wearing gloves at the time.
Almost immediately, there were streaks of blood visible. He didn’t give it much thought before tossing
the eagle in the direction of the front of the rockery.
Therge bird pped its wings as itnded on top of the rockery, and then it slowly flew back in the
direction of the bamboo tree.
“Thank G od, it’s just an eagle…” Sasha let out a sigh of relief. “Let’s

The two figures vanished almost immediately after that second had passed. I tore my eyes away from
them and looked down at
Sebastian’s wrist, where blood was pooling from an injury he had

He shed a grin before coc king his head to the side and casting shadows across his features. “I

At first, I was stunned, and then I noticed that my face was turning bright red.
“What are you talking about?” I scoffed. “I wasn’t eavesdropping! I was just strolling in the garden!” I
was actually investigating. When didn’t get an answer from him, I continued. “How about you? Wh
business do you have popping up here instead of keeping my sisterpany?”
I became annoyed when I realized that his other arm was encircling my shoulder, so, I angrily shook
my shoulder and pushed him away from me.
Following that, I tucked some stray strands of hair behind my ear that had been blown loose by the
wind.
Sebastian took a keen interest in the varied expressions that were on my face, and a glimmer of a
smile appeared in his eyes as he whispered… “Talk about having the gift of gab when ites to

I had the impression that Sebastian was just going to nod his head and then leave, so, I was taken
aback when he took a step forward wrapped his arm around my waist, and pulled me closer to him.
When he cupped his free hand around my chin andpelled me to look at him, I let out a gasp.
“Celine…” he mumbled in a low voice. “I had no idea that you were so skilled at distorting the truth,

I smiled and looked squarely into his blue eyes, making no attempt to deflect or avoid his forthrightness
in any way. On the contrary, I knew that there was a kind of cu nningness that he’d see in my eyes.
I averted my gaze for an instant, then slowly stretched out my hand and reached for the expensive suit
he was wearing. After that, I slowly. moved my fingertips up his shirt and started buttoning up the three
buttons that had been left undone.
I felt him freeze up, his eyes followed my hand that was expertly working.
“Both you and I…” I smirked as I paused. “There’s no distinction between us… Why do you feel the
need to hide who you are?”
