Chapter 48
Neville cast a cold nce at Ryan, then lowered his head to examine the files on his phone, not giving
any response to Alison throughout her speech.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Alison withdrew her gaze and continued introducing her works.
Madison nned to wait until Alison showcased all her designs before taking a look. She believed that
desis only needed to briefly state the creative purpose of their works. The lengthy exnations
were unnecessary. She put on her headphones and focused on replying to messages on her phone.
Ross, however, listened attentively. He turned to Madison and said, “You and Alison seem to have a
connection. Not only are you interested in the same man, but you also named your designs the same.”
Though Ross only nced at the sketches Madison prepared, he remembered that one of her designs
was also
named “Sweet Love.”
Madison, busy replying to Jeremy’s message, casually nodded.
Seeing her indifferent response, Ross thought it might be a coincidence and didn’t bother her further.
He turned- his attention to the rising star sitting beside him.
After Alison finished her introduction, she began inviting models onto the stage.
When the model appeared in the “Sweet Love” wedding dress, the audience erupted in cheers.
The wedding dress had an off-the-shoulder design, with pearls on the chestplementing the s c a t t
e re d diamonds on the fishtail dress. The waist had a hollow design, and as the model moved, the
glittering details shone, making the model look alluring and graceful.
“Oh, my dear, it’s so stunning! This is my dream wedding dress!”
“Miss Conner is indeed the top talent in the socialite world. The wedding dress is very beautiful. I want
to wear it on my wedding.”
“I feel love in this wedding dress. It really gives a feeling of enchantment.”
The judges were also excited and stunned by the wedding dress.

Ryan couldn’t help but exim, “Neville, I have to admit that Alison is talented. This wedding dress
perfectly captures the men t a l t y of youngdies. I bet it will be sold out as soon as it hits the market.
Looks like your ex- wife faces a strong opponent.”
Neville nced at the wedding dress on the model; squinting his eyes. He somehow felt that this dress
was familiar, but he couldn’t recall where he had seen it before.
Alison, standing on the stage, basked in all the praise. She felt so proud and knew that she had won
thispetition.
The thunderous cheers disturbed Madison, forcing her to interrupt her interaction with Jeremy. As she
looked towards the stage, she was shocked.
The manuscript and the sample that should have been hers had be Alison’s work. Moreover,
Alison shamelessly enjoyed the admiration and worship of the crowd. It was outrageous.
A mix of anger, confusion, mockery, and anxiety surged through Madison’s heart.
But when she saw Daisy sitting in the VIP seat, everything made sense.
All the events shed through her mind, and she figured out what had happened,
Her manuscript wasn’t lost. It was taken by Daisy and given to Alison.
If their works were identical, it meant that one of them was involved in giarism.
Alison took the initiative to show the wedding dress, leaving Madison in a passive position.
As long as Alison counterattacked, Madison would be the target of public scorn.
Once designers were involved in giarism, their careers would be ruined. Nopany would want to
hire a designer infamous for giarism.
Madison thought, ‘Alison just wants to gain the upper hand by showing the wedding dress first. She
must have known that she had stolen my idea. It is really disgusting.’
Madison tightly clenched her fingers, her body trembling. It seemed like every cell in her body was
screaming with anger.

However, when Alison looked over, Madison quickly regained herposure. Her eyes only showed
cold mockery as shemunicated a message through lip reading, “You only deserve what I don’t
want.”
Astonishingly, Alison understood her lip reading. A wave of shame and indignation surged through her.
She didn’t feel victorious at all.
Alison even felt like a thief caught in the act.
But she was the winner after all. She straightened her back, giving Madison a provocative smile.
The audience didn’t notice the interaction between the two. However, Ross suddenly eximed, “Hey,
isn’t that your design?”
Madison, familiarly naming the next wedding dress, said, “The next one is ‘Eternity’, followed by
‘Blessings’ and ‘Devoted Marriage”.”

Sure enough, Alison’s next announced dress was “Eternity”. The meaning and symbolism of the dress
matched Madison’s manuscript exactly. Alison was indeed a giarist, with the creativity and
symbolism of the dress mirroring Madison’s work.
Ross realized the situation and angrily said, “She’s so shameless. Being a designer with a good
reputation, she engages in giarism.”
Madison, now calm, joked, “Because my work is too outstanding.”
“How can you stillugh? She not only has the design draft and samples but also excels at stirring
emotions. Look at how she made the girls in the audience cry. I wonder how you’re going to beat her.”
Madison asked, “How many options do I have?”
Ross analyzed seriously, “Expose her on stage right away, confront her head-on, but the chances of
winning are slim. After all, this venue belongs to the Conner family, and your ex-husband’s influence is
still significant. Or you can withdraw, watch her unt your work triumphantly, and bow down to her with
respect, acknowledging
defeat.
Madison nced at him. Ross indeed had a sharp tongue. Even just listening to him made her feel
ufortable, but his analysis was on point.
“The first option is undoubtedly challenging the impossible. I’m not that foolish. But I will definitely not

defeat. I can’t swallow that humiliation. So, I choose another way out.”
Ross looked puzzled. “What’s that?”
Madison didn’t answer him directly but asked, “How long is the halftime break, and when will it be my
turn on stage?”
“She has another half-hour for her presentation, plus twenty minutes for rallying votes and waiting for
the scores. There will be half an hour for the break, and then it’s your turn.”
Ross thought of something and suddenly said, “But how are you going to show your design if she has
stolen yours?”
“Indeed, it’s a bit rushed to make another set of designs in an hour and a half, but how will I know the
result if 1 don’t push myself?”
Ross was perplexed. “Thepetition process is strict. Even if you have a burst of inspiration and
create the design, you need to showcase the dresses. But you don’t even have the materials for the
dresses.”
Madison patted his shoulder and said, “Come with me. There’s something I need your help with.”
