Chapter 24 Desperation


    Bessie picked up the silver needle and headed toward the sack.


    Nora’s heart filled with joy as she recognized her mother’s voice. But


    as soon as Harriet’s name was mentioned, a sudden realization hit


    her.


    She remembered how she had failed to trap Harriet and gotten


    ensnared instead.
