Chapter 26
Natalie nced at the pink diamond adorning her neck, her expression as serene as ever, without
uttering a single word.
The receptionist, sensing an awkward vibe, quickly chimed in, “Gracia, thisdy is referred by a director
from abroad for an audition. If she’s not to your liking…”
“Referred for an audition?” Gracia couldn’t help but curl her lips into a faint smirk.
“Some no–name international college dares to send candidates to yourpany? And who knows
what they traded for this rmendation? Has Global Entertainment Group’s bar dropped this low?
Isn’t that embarrassing?” she articted softly.
With that, she took the rmendation letter from the receptionist, crumpled it methodically, and
tossed it into the nearest wastebasket.
“In my opinion, there is a shortage of ces to clean the toilet. Why don’t I help introduce it?”
The staff didn’t know how they provoked Gracia, who had always been good–natured. Guess she was
in a bad mood because of the badments that suddenly appeared on the hot search, so they were
too scared to say a word and didn’t dare to stop.
“If good looks were all it took to act, wouldn’t that be unfair to the truly talented?” Gracia then turned to
the few staff nearby, her voice still soft.
“Yes, of course!” the staff members hurriedly agreed.
Gracia allowed a small smile to grace her lips, peering through the crowd at Natalie with a look of
challenge that only Natalie could decipher.
Natalie met her gaze indifferently, watching Gracia walk gracefully toward the distant elevator, a silent
chuckle escaping her lips. She then turned and made her way to a secluded corner, approaching an
elevator that required fingerprint ess. She pressed her finger to the scanner and hit the button to go
up.
As soon as she stepped inside, the elevator’s screen lit up. Gavin’s fave appeared on the screen,
“Natalie, what brings you here? Why didn’t you give me a heads–up?”
“I just wanted to run a scene with Mr. Miller and y a bit part, nothing major,” Natalie sighed,
responding. “But your receptionist wouldn’t let me see Mr. Miller, and Gracia tore up my
rmendation letter.”
Gavin frowned, knowing full well that if King, the head of Global Entertainment, found out Natalie had
been slighted, there would be hell to pay!
Natalie, one of the five shadow stakeholders behind Global Entertainment, was being turned away at
herpany’s door. If word got out, it would be aughingstock!
Although Natalie had never visited Global Entertainment Group before, she had personally spent a
month designing the code for thepany’s unique and state–of–the–art security system. She knew
the building’syout better than anyone.
To show his gratitude, the Chairman of Global Entertainment Group had given her stocks worth nearly
a billion dors at the time, securing her position as one of the top five stakeholders. And Gavin? He
was the Chairman’s very own son.
“Couldn’t you have just dropped my name?” Gavin first gave her a mild reproach.
“A bit yer with ties to the CEO? Guess how the media would specte about our rtionship if that
got out,” Natalie countered with an unchanging expression.
Gavin paused, impressed. She was a top–tier hacker with a mind that worked faster than most.
“I just want to y an ordinary small part in the production, something a little more than an extra,”
Natalie continued calmly.
“I’ll arrange it right away,” Gavin replied with an easy grin.
“Hold on,” Natalie said as he started to leave, stopping him in his tracks, “There are two more things.”Belongs ? to N?velDrama.Org.
