Chapter 112
Chapter 112
Warren handed the document to Howard desperately. “Believe it or not, everything I’ve done was for
the good of the entire Chadwick family! As for the car ident, I never saw iting.”
His voice took on an emotional edge. “I would give you 30% of the shares and restore your ce in the
Chadwick family. Howard, all I ask is that you ensure everything you do is in the best interest of the
Chadwick family.”
Regret gnawed at him, turning his guts blue with the intensity of it. But Warren was too stubborn to
utter the words.
Howard nced coldly at the “Share Transfer Agreement” without a word.
But Bainbridge exploded. “No way!”
In a fit of rage, Bainbridge snatched the agreement and tore it to shreds, the pieces. fluttering down like
confetti.
His eyes were bloodshot as he roared. “Grandpa, you promised the Chadwick Group would be mine!
No matter how brilliant Howard may be, he would work for me! I’m your favorite grandson!”
His hysterical screams tore through the pretense. “How could you hand over the Chadwick Group to
Howard!”
Bainbridge’s hair was messy, and his usually suave image shattered.
His words ripped off the mask of propriety.
The room was filled with puzzled stares directed at Warren, unable toprehend why he would
overlook a prodigy like Howard in favor of the mediocre Bainbridge.
It was the epitome of foolish favoritism!
“Shut your mouth!” Warren trembled with fury, and his face ashen.
With a slight upturn of his lips in a mocking smile, Howard said indifferently, “So, in your eyes, I’ve
always just been Bainbridge’s underling.”
He had once thought there was a shred of familial affection from Warren.
“Well, this is for the best,” he said, gazing at Bainbridge and his parents, “I didn’te here to
celebrate your birthday but to inform you. As the secondrgest shareholder of the Chadwick Group,
I’m calling a board meeting. I trust you’ll be there on time.”
Finally, he looked at Warren and said calmly, “Grandfather, this will be thest time I address you as
such/For what I want, I will take it for myself. I don’t need charity.”
Warren gasped, a torrent of crimson spilling from his lips before he copsed.

“Dad! Wake up!”
Chaos ensued as Bainbridge and his parents, with the fallen Warren in tow, rushed out of the banquet
hall.
They couldn’t bear the thought of him dying on his seventieth birthday celebration.
The remaining onlookers turned their attention to Howard, who remained asposed
as ever.
He was indeed a mastermind with Machiavellian tactics!
It wasn’t long before someone took the initiative, pulling out a business card.
“Mr. Howard, here’s my card. I’m with BlueRock Construction…”
“Mr. Howard, could our families work together? I am…”
“Howard, I’m a distant cousin on your mother’s side. We are family. Let’s not lose touch.”
The more audacious ones swarmed around Howard, bowing and offering their unsolicited praise.
Once scorned as the Chadwick family’s cast–off, Howard had suddenly be Bayridge. City’s
darling!
Even Gwendolyn couldn’t fend off their enthusiasm.
Her cheeks flushed as she listened to the extravagant praises for her and Howard. It was just too
much.
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Jeannie and the Rosalind couple at the banquet hall
entrance.
She tapped Howard on the shoulder. “Mr. Chadwick, I see Jeannie and your parents have arrived. Shall
we head home?”

Howard turned to look and said in a low voice. “Gwendolyn, there are still some scores to settle. Larkin,
it’s time to clear the room!”
“Right away!” Larkin eagerly fished out a pre–prepared list from his suit pocket.
With a cheery grin, he announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, if you could kindly give Mr. Howard some
space, we’d be most grateful! We have some private matters to attend to
now.”
