While Keith walked, he thought about what was said. To go into a dungeon that no one had gone into before? That sounded great. And it was. Unlike the dungeon Keith and the group went to, this one would have treasures no one had touched before.
There was no need to tell Keith about the fame.
However, even with all of this, that didn''t mean there weren''t any dangers. As the saying goes, higher rewards mean higher risks. As the name suggested, it was an unexplored dungeon. That meant no one knew anything about it. It was aplete unknown.
For all Keith knew, he could be injured on the first floor. Not only that, it would take longer because it was unexplored.
It was a tough decision. I have a few days to decide. Kaiser had given him a couple of days. Keith knew he would make a decision by then. When he returned home, the others came to him,
"Keith, are we going to another dungeon?!" Herrick and Melor''s eyes sparkled as they stared. Keith chuckled,
"Why do you think we''re going to another dungeon?"
"Because the vice-guildmaster called for you!" The two thought they could go to a better dungeon.
"You guys thought wrong. The vice-guildmaster called to give me the report about the Mork situation."
"Boring!" The two walked away from him. They didn''t want to hear that.
Keith shook his head as he headed for the kitchen. It was going to be the usual day.
"Hah," Keith sighed as he rested in the backyard. But while he was doing that,
"Kid, are you a middle-aged man or something? Why are you sighing like that?" Cadmus scoffed as he emerged from the door.
"That''s because I feel like one," Keith chuckled. But Cadmus shook his head as he sat beside him, "So what''s the matter?"
"What do you mean?"
"Don''t try to deny it. There''s something off with you." Cadmus noticed the off aura he had.
"Was it that obvious?" "No. But if Carolyn was here, she would have noticed." A few would have noticed Keith''s expression. He was one of the few.
"So what''s on your mind?" Cadmus said casually.
"Well, I was asked to join a dungeon exploration?" "Huh?"
Keith started to exin what Kaiser proposed.
"I see," Cadmus nodded beforementing, "Then go with what your gut is telling you."
"Eh? Grandpa Cadmus, can you act more seriously?" How could he be acting like this?
"Keith, remember what you told me when you were a kid?"
"Ahh, that I wanted a garden and a ce to cook?" Keith tilted his head.
"No," Cadmus denied, "To try out new things."
"Ah?"
"Staying at the academy is fine and all, but you would be in a bubble. Go live a little and try your best at everything." Academy life was never meant to restrict Keith.
"I see." Keith thought about it. Cadmus added, "And you don''t need to worry about anything. You definitely won''t die." He had too much damn protection to even die.
"Mmhmm!" "Good!"
"Also, I will need a fee for this consultation." Cadmus waved his hand to him.
"What do you mean there''s a fee?!"
"Hey! My wise words are not cheap."
"Mooch."
"How dare you call me a mooch?"
"When there''s a mooch, you must call them a mooch." Keith dered.
