Chapter 233
Skr decided to do what he said.
He checked all the wards one by one, and enquired at every help desk. As long as there was a young
mother who took her child to see a doctor, Skr would not let go of them.
However, if the child was ill, almost all of them were apanied by their parents or grandparents. It
was almost impossible to find those apanied by only their mothers.
In addition, Coralie needed a lot of money to cure her son''s disease. After Skr and Sabe looked
through the various cancer wards, they went to the hematology department.
Skr came to the help desk and asked the nurse on duty about who he was looking for, based on the
descriptions of the pawnbroker.

Hearing this, the nurse immediately said, "Yes, you should go to ward 511. That kid is only looked after
by his mother. Well, his mother is almost the same age as you said."
"What''s the mother''s name?"
Before Skr could ask, Sabe mouthed the question beside him.
The nurse thought for a moment and shook her head. "I don''t know. We all call her Hendric''s mom. She
didn''t mention her name."
"Hendric."
After hearing the name, Skr immediately dashed to ward 511.
Behind Skr, Sabe was walking very slowly.
Sabe always thought that Coralie was a dead person, that as long as she got close to Skr, she
could win Skr''s heart. Even Valerie Rae would not be her opponent.
But now, the person Sabe had always thought was dead could still be alive...
How could she ept this?
Ward 511 was thest room at the end of the corridor.
While Sabe was still walking, she heard the nurse who was on duty behind her saying, "Hendric''s
mom, there was a man looking for you just now."
As soon as the nurse finished speaking, Sabe turned her head back.
She saw a woman holding a little boy who was over a year old at the stairs.
Sabe could not be more familiar with that face; it was embedded deep within her memory.
The little boy in her arms, with his facial features, was simply a scaled-down version of Skr!
Sabe looked at the stunned expression on the woman''s face. She knew that Coralie did not want
Skr to find her, so she walked over immediately and pulled Coralie to the corner of the stairs.
When she was walking, she turned her head to make sure that Skr did note out of the ward.
Coralie was pulled to the stairwell by Sabe for no reason. She thought it was Sabe who was
looking for her.
"Miss Chariott," Sabe said.
"Hello," Coralie said.
Coralie looked at Sabe and recognized her at a nce. She knew her, the person who was always
seen with Skr on TV.
Last time in the garage, they even said "back home".
Coralie did not want to brood over their rtionship, nor did she have the qualifications to specte
about it.
"Miss Chariott, Skr came to see you. He is now in your son''s ward."
As Sabe said, she looked at Coralie with hostility.
"He''s here?"
Hearing Sabe''s words, Coralie couldn''t help but hold Hendric tighter in her arms and stepped back.
Sabe nodded. She raised her hand, shed the ring on her hand, and said, "Miss Chariott, let me tell
you that I''m engaged to Skr and the date of the wedding is fixed. His days have been very painful
after you left. I don''t want him to experience that kind of pain again, so..." She paused and said,
"Please don''t appear in his life anymore. He has finally epted the fact that you have passed away."
As Sabe spoke, her eyes turned red and her voice was choked, as if she was begging Coralie.
Coralie looked at the woman in front of her. For a moment, she didn''t know what to do. She looked at
the ring on the woman''s hand, and her heart was extremely sore.
Coralie knew that she was not that great at all. When she knew that Skr was going to marry another
woman, she was distraught.
However, Coralie still nodded. "I know."
Sabe''s voice was choked as she looked at the child in Coralie''s arms. "The child looks like him. I''m
sorry. I''m making such a cruel and selfish decision, but I really don''t want him to fall into the deep
depression like when he heard of your death again. Especially not now when he has finallye out of
it. He has gone through a wretched life these past two years."
Sabe said every word as if she was thinking about Skr.
Coralie looked at Sabe. Although it was her first time seeing her, Coralie could feel that Sabe loved
Skr very much.
They were getting married after all.
It was good for Skr to marry a woman who loved him so much.
Coralieforted herself over and over again and nodded numbly. "I know. I''m not going out there.
Please take Skr away."
Sabe nodded and thanked, "Thank you, Miss Chariott, thank you for giving us your blessings."
After that, she left the stairwell.
However, at the moment when Sabe turned around, the sadness, sympathy, and pain on her face
hadpletely disappeared. Instead, Sabe said to herself with a hint of viciousness, "Since you''re a
dead person, you should go where the dead deserve to go."
As soon as Sabe came out, she saw that Skr hade out of the ward. She rushed over and
asked, "President Hond, how is it going?"
Skr shook his head. "There''s no one in the room. Maybe they''ve gone out and haven''te back
yet. I''ll wait for a while."
When the nurse saw Skring out, she said, "Just now..."
She was going to tell Skr that Coralie hade back, but just as she opened her mouth, she met
Sabe''s warning gaze. The nurse was frightened and quickly stopped talking.
"President Hond, it''s sote at night. Maybe the child has been discharged and gone home."
Sabe said aside.
"It''s impossible. If she goes home, her brother will tell me."
Skr shook his head. He was certain that the child living in the room was his son, and the child''s
mother must be Coralie.
As Skr spoke, he continued to wander in the corridor.
While Skr was not paying attention, Sabe took out all the cash from her wallet and handed it to the
nurse on duty. She whispered, "Do you have any photos of the patients and their families? Find
someone about the same age, show them to my husband, and let him give up."
As soon as the nurse saw so much money, she nodded quickly.
After a while, the nurse found a photo takenst year with the family of the patient from her mobile
phone. She then asked Skr, "Sir, this is the mother and the baby in ward 511. Is this the person you
are looking for?"
Skr heard the nurse and quickly went over. He held the nurse''s mobile phone and stared at the
photo carefully.
In the photo, there was a slightly plump woman holding a boy who was older than two years old.
It was obviously not Coralie at a first nce.
"Is it this person?"
Skr raised his head and asked the nurse.
The nurse had to continue lying because she had received Sabe''s money. She nodded and said,
"Yes, I just took it a few days ago."
"President Hond, is that Miss Chariott?"
Sabe clearly knew that it was not, but she still asked deliberately.
"It''s impossible. I have to wait for them toe back."
Skr didn''t want to give up.
The nurse was afraid that her lies would be exposed. Although she didn''t know who Skr was, she
could see that the man''s clothes were very expensive, so she could only continue to speak. "I
remember now. They already went home tonight."
Now the nurse finally understood why lies beget more lies.
Coralie was at the stairwell, so she could vaguely hear the conversation outside. As Coralie listened to
Skr''s unwillingness to ept the exnation, she even had an impulse to go out and tell Skr that
she was here.
