“I don’t even feel like going to work today,” Alexander admitted.
Sophiaughed. “We didn’t save thepany so you could lie down. Although I understand you. I can’t
even look at a document anymore.”
A sudden knock on the door disrupted their intimate moment, but Alexander, not wanting to let go of
Sophia, urged her not to answer it. “Let them wait. I want to stay like this with you,” he murmured,
pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
Sophia chuckled softly at his reluctance, teasingly rolling her eyes. ” I’ll handle it,” she replied,
untangling herself from Alexander’s embrace and padding over to the door.
Opening it, Sophia found a courier standing there, holding a package. Curiosity piqued, she epted
the package, her fingers eagerly tearing away the wrapping to reveal a heart- shaped box of choctes
nestled inside.
As Sophia opened the heart-shaped box of choctes, her eyes widened with surprise and delight.
Just as she was admiring the sweet treats, she heard the sound of footsteps behind her.
Turning around, she caught sight of Alexander entering the room shirtless, the morning light casting a
golden glow on his chiseled chest and sculpted abs. His tousled hair added to his rugged charm, and
Sophia couldn’t help but feel a rush of desire as she took in his irresistible appearance.
“Who was it, love?” Alexander asked with a warm smile, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he
approached her. ” What’s got you smiling so early in the morning?”
Sophia couldn’t tear her gaze away from his toned physique, appreciating every contour and muscle.
“Oh, just admiring the view,” she teased, her voice tinged with yful affection.
Alexander’s eyebrows raised in mock surprise as he nced at the heart- shaped box in Sophia’s
hands. “Ah, I see you’ve found a new admirer in London,” he joked, a smirk ying on his lips.
Sophia rolled her eyes with a grin, knowing full well that Alexander was just teasing her. “As if anyone
couldpare to you,” she retorted, reaching for the card nestled amidst the choctes.
It was from Becky. The card read:
“Dear Sophia,
I hope this little surprise brings a smile to your face. I wanted to share some sweet news with you.
Thanks to you, I and Benjamin are officially a couple. It’s amazing how life can take unexpected turns,
and I couldn’t be happier to share that journey with Benjamin by my side. You’ve been an incredible
friend, and I’m so grateful for everything we’ve shared.

As Alexander watched Sophia, still in her thin nightgown, enjoying breakfast and smiling at the card
from Becky, he felt a surge of warmth flood his chest. The soft morning light cast a gentle glow on her
features, entuating the delicate curves of her body and the sparkle in her eyes. She looked so
beautiful, so content, and at that moment, Alexander knew he couldn’t wait any longer.

answering truthfully, he chose to deflect, to keep his thoughts to himself for now.
“Oh, just thinking about how lucky I am to have you,” he replied with a smile, reaching across the table
to take her hand in his. “And how delicious those choctes look. Mind if I have one?”
Sophia chuckled herughter like music to his ears, and nodded, pushing the box of choctes
towards him. As Alexander selected a piece and popped it into his mouth, he couldn’t shake the feeling
that today was the beginning of something new and wonderful for them. And he couldn’t wait to see
