    Chapter 81

#81 “Did You Install Surveince Cameras Outside My House?”

The sun cast a gentle morning light upon the city, bathing it in a warm, weing glow. Sophia had

barely taken a moment to eat breakfast when her phone rang, and the voice on the other end delivered

news that brought a rush of hope and anxiety. Maestro Paus had regained consciousness.

Without further ado, Sophia hurried to the hospital where Maestro was under medical care. Upon

arrival, she was met by the attending doctor, who offered a reassuring smile.

“Good morning, Ms. Johnson. I’m pleased to inform you that Maestro Paus is awake, and his condition

is stable. You may see him now.”

Sophia nodded, her heart pounding with trepidation. She had been deeply concerned about Maestro’s

well-being, and the fact that he had regained consciousness was a hopeful sign.

As she entered the room where Maestroy, her eyes met him, and the relief was mutual. Maestro’s

frail form was propped up by pillows, and he offered a warm smile to Sophia. “My dear, it’s good to see

    you.”

Tears welled up in Sophia’s eyes as she approached Maestro’s bedside. “I’m so d you’re awake,

Maestro. We were all so worried about you.”

Maestro’s eyes held a twinkle of amusement. “Worried about an old man like me, dear? You’ve always

    been kind-hearted.”

Sophia squeezed Maestro’s frail hand and took a seat by his bedside. “Of course, we’re worried. You

mean a lot to us, Maestro,”

Maestro shifted slightly, his expression growing more serious. “There’s something I need to tell you,

something I should have shared before, but circumstances… well, you know how life can be.”

Sophia leaned closer, her eyes filled with curiosity and concern. “What is it, Maestro? What’s been on

    your mind?”

Maestro took a deep breath, his voice trembling slightly. “Sophia, your grandfather and I had a close

friendship that went beyond just our professional lives. After your marriage, he spent some time in

London, and he entrusted me with something of great importance.”

Sophia had no idea that her grandfather had been in London after her marriage. She decided not to

bring up the subject right now.

Sophia’s curiosity deepened. “What did he entrust you with, Maestro?”

Maestro Paus’s eyes bore into Sophia’s, his gaze unwavering. “He left something for you, something

he believed you should have in case of unexpected trouble or misfortune. It’s a testament to his

unwavering faith in you and his love for you.”

Sophia’s heart raced as she absorbed Maestro’s words. Her grandfather had always been a source of

inspiration and guidance in her life, and this revtion held a special significance.

“What is it, Maestro?” Sophia asked, her voice filled with emotion.

“Your grandfather told me that there is an envelope, sealed with his personal seal. He instructed me to

tell you about that letter only if the need ever arose. He was insistent about it.”

Sophia’s curiosity was piqued, and her determination to uncover the secrets of her family’s past was

ignited. “Do you know what was inside the envelope?” she asked eagerly.

Maestro Paus shakes his head. “It’s for you to discover, Sophia. I only know that it was a letter, a

handwritten letter from your grandfather. I don’t know what it contained. I remember him saying that it

was a message for the future, a time when you might need his guidance.”

Sophia was moved by the revtion. Her grandfather, whom she had always regarded with great

respect, had left her a letter that held the key to his thoughts and wisdom. It was a legacy she hadn’t

    known existed.

“Thank you for sharing this with me, Maestro,” Sophia said, her voice filled with emotion. “I never knew

about my grandfather’s time in London.”

Maestro Paus smiled kindly at Sophia. ” Your grandfather was a remarkable man, and his trust in you

was unwavering. Now, it’s time for you to discover the wisdom he left behind.”

Sophia rushed to her apartment building, her mind abuzz with the newfound revtions about her

grandfather and the urgency to get to London. As she approached her doorstep, she was met with an

unexpected sight-Alexander standing outside her apartment. His presence caught her off guard, and

her hurried steps skidded to a halt.

“Alexander, what are you doing here?” Sophia asked, her tone a mixture of surprise and irritation. “Did

you install surveince cameras outside my house? Why did you know I’m going back home?”

Alexander was taken aback by her sarcastic remark, his attempts to apologize momentarily

overshadowed by her sharp wit. He quickly reassured her, “No, Sophia, I didn’t install cameras. I was

just passing by and thought I’d wait here to apologize forst night. I understand you might be upset

    about it.”

Sophia, still on edge, felt a surge of annoyance at the unexpected encounter. She had no time for

apologies and wanted to focus on her impending trip. “Alexander, I appreciate the apology, but I’m in a

bit of a hurry. I’ve got a flight to catch to London.”

Undeterred, Alexander, like an unshakable shadow, followed her as she made her way inside the

apartment. Sophia’s determination to escape his presence only seemed to make him more persistent.

“London, you say?” Alexander inquired with genuine interest. “That’s a rather sudden trip. Anything I

    can help you with?”

Sophia, now busily rummaging through her closet, couldn’t help but roll her eyes at Alexander’s

continued presence. “No, Alexander, I’ve got everything under control. I’m just going to pick up a letter

from my grandfather, and I’ll be back.”

Alexander, undeterred by her cool demeanor, decided to press further, trying to mend the situation. “I

understand you might be annoyed with me, Sophia, but let me make it up to you. How about I drive you

    to the airport?”

Sophia, who had finally located her suitcase, turned to look at him. “You’re being unusually helpful

today, Alexander. Are you trying to get back into my good graces with airport transportation services?”

Alexander couldn’t help but chuckle at her sarcastic tone. “Well, if that’s what it takes, I’m willing to offer

    my services as your chauffeur.”

Sophia gave a reluctant smile, seeing through his attempt to lighten the mood. “Alright, Alexander. You

can drive me to the airport. But don’t expect this to absolve you ofst night’s impulsive behavior.”
