    Hesper ignored Rickard. Benji felt a suffocating atmosphere even from several steps away and was

    Before Rickard could say anything, Ernest interrupted. "You''re better equipped to handle this situation


    than I am. I''m an old man, and such incidents take a toll on my aged brain, so I believe it''s best for you


    to make the decision. Besides, you appear to have a better understanding of the matter than I do. I am


    curious as to why you are still hesitant to do so."


    Ernest''s response was evasive, leaving Rickard with the understanding that he had to make a decision


    that day.


    He looked over at Julie and Sophia, who immediately pleaded for forgiveness in soft tones,


    acknowledging their wrongdoing. However, Rickard had heard such apologies too many times before,


    and he sensed that they were not sincere.
