    In the study, the mother and son sat down.


    Rickard checked the time on his watch. “Go ahead.”


    Julie spoke. “I know that you’re trying to get Hesper, but have you considered why she didn’te


    home? Has she ever done this since you married? Don’t you think that this is out of character?”
