    “Ms. Gloria, you’re too kind. Bonnie and I arent that familiar” I responded with a polite smile, not


    particrly warm.


    Gloria didn’t get mad or embarrassed. She just went on, “Bonnie is young. She can be easily fooled by


    appearances. If she’s caused any inconvenience to you, I hope you’ll forgive her”


    The way she put it, it was like I was the one who deceived innocent Bonnie


    Gloria was definitely not as polite to me as she appeared. Her voice, her tone, and even every word


    she said all had a tinge of sarcasm.


    Just then, Neil appeared in the distance, and he noticed Gloria and me immediately
