I was relieved to see Barbara’s sanity and rity, but my heart ached for her immensely. Any words of
comfort seemed feeble. All I could do was to make Norman pay for
his actions.
After a moment of silence, Barbara said, “Since he’s betrayed me, there’s nothing left for me to cling
onto. Tell me what to do, Rena, and I’ll do it.”
Barbara and I had a chat in the ward. I learned more about Norman.
