Chloe tightened her grip and said impatiently, "You’re still lying to me at this point? Seems to me like
you don’t wish to live anymore.”

Being suffocated caused Vanya to gag uncontrobly. Her pale face had turned from red, then to
purple. It would not be long before she ran out of air. She struggled with all her might, but her frail
body failed her. However, she understood that her current greatest valuey in not Duskfall or
Noah’s secrets. It was in Chloe and Joseph''s child. If she told Chloe the location of her kid, Noah
would not spare her.

Chloe had underestimated Vanya. Though Duskfall had abandoned her, Vanya gritted her teeth and
kept her silence, refusing to utter a single word.
Seeing this, Chloe''s impatience grew and her anger consumed her. She clenched her teeth and

They were each waiting for the other to give in.

Vanya''s breath grew shallow, and her forehead became dotted with beads of sweat. Fear gripped
her, but she had no choice but to take the risk. Out of Noah, Joseph, and Chloe, Chloe was the only
one who could sway the other two''s decisions. If she could manage Chloe, the other two would just
follow Chloe''s lead.
She was running out of oxygen and her vision was turning ck. She was reaching her limit. If
Chloe did not let go of her, she would die.
"Wee home, Mr. Noah."
A helper''s voice rang out in the distance and Chloe''s hand trembled. Thest shreds of her
rationality pulled her back, and she released her grip on Vanya.
Gasping for air, Vanya stared anxiously at Chloe. Fearing that Chloe might make another move, she
hastily said, "While I can''t tell you exactly where the child is, I can reveal another secret to you."
After a pause, she said in a low voice, "Your child is being raised in a healthy and joyful family
environment."
Chloe stared into Vanya’s eyes, yet was unable to determine the truth behind her words. She
nced at Noah, then took a few steps to ensure they could not be seen from his angle. She then
looked down at Vanya and asked, "What secret?"
"I''ll tell you, but you have to help me leave the country," Vanya replied.
"You haven''t told me anything and you’re already negotiating with me? What gives you the nerves?"
Chloe chuckled, frustrated by Vanya''s evasiveness.
Vanya set her jaw tightly and her eyes glinted with determination. "The fire at the hospital five years
ago was Noah''s idea. We executed it together. Also, Xavia has an illegitimate child with a man
named Eustace Hubble. Eustace is under Noah''s control. I haven''t shared any of this with anyone
else but Joseph, but he only knows part of it, not the whole story. Is this enough to show my
sincerity, Ms. Chloe?"
The news hit Chloe like a ton of bricks, leaving her feeling as though she were the one struggling for
breath. "So why are you telling me?" she asked calmly.
Although Chloe appearedposed, her eyes betrayed the hidden well of emotions inside her.
Vanya could glimpse the tumultuous thoughts and conflicting feelings that churned beneath Chloe''s
calm facade.
Confidently, Vanya said, "Because they love you. As long as you say the word, neither Joseph nor
Noah will make things difficult for me."
