to Joseph. "Even if Noah knew all of this, I wouldn''t care."
She realized that if Noah had intended to harm her, she could have easily be a victim. In fact,
he not only saved her but also helped uncover her familial roots and brought her back to the
Sullivan family. The Sullivans possessed immense wealth, and with Noah being involved with them
since childhood, it was natural for people to suspect him of having ulterior motives. But Chloe felt in
her heart that Noah had no hidden agenda. She felt that he genuinely cared for her and treated her
with kindness.
Joseph noticed her high regard for this man, and his expression darkened. "Noah is cunning.

Joseph''s patience wore thin. "You used Megan''s car to track Chloe, then attempted to cause an
ident and harm her. Do I need to spell it out for you?"
To be honest, Joseph was skeptical when he first heard the news. He knew Xavia was jealous of
Chloe, but he did not believe she would be so bold to take such extreme actions. Megan was
currently an artist rising in poprity, and she cared deeply about her reputation. Despite their
friendship, it seemed unlikely that she would go to such lengths.
"It wasn''t me. I was home all afternoon," Xavia denied, putting on a fake concerned expression.
"Maybe Megan identally hit Chloe. Don''t be angry. Let''s call her and confirm it, okay?"
"Is calling necessary? You probably already coordinated your story in advance. Are you sure you
want to keep trying to deceive me?" Joseph’s brow furrowed and he felt deeply disappointed. He
suddenly understood why Jasper never liked his mother.
Xavia was left speechless. She lowered her eyes, and a few tears dropped to the ground. "If you

As he silently watched her head to the bedroom, a cold light grew in his eyes.
At the Sullivan manor, Chloe had just taken a shower. She emerged with an airy, strapless, mini-
dress. Water droplets adorned her face, entuating her fair and beautifulplexion. The floor
heating provided ample warmth, and aside from the few house helpers who asionally came up
to clean, nobody came up here. Not even Noah or Desmond. This entire floor was her private
space, so she dressed as she pleased.
Joseph suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs. "What are you wearing?” His gaze was dark and
wolf-like as it fixed on her.
Chloe was startled and then blushed. "Who let you in?"
"I''m asking, what are you wearing? Aren''t you afraid of freezing in this cold weather?" Joseph''s tone
was cold and tinged with a hint of jealousy. Had she seduced Noah and won him over with this
method?
"Dude, there''s underfloor heating here. It’s really warm. Besides, it''s none of your business what I
wear."
Joseph paused and tugged at his cor in annoyance. No wonder he was feeling inexplicably hot.
