Chapter 688 Frieda’s Personal Information
“At least I''m not seducing men in public." Xavia gritted her teeth.
Chloe simply shrugged and concurred, "Of course not. You''re just exceptional at putting on a
facade."
An innocent flower in public, a scheming serpent in private.
Xavia sneered. "You''ve been ying this act for five years now. No need for ttery." She had
hoped to at least remain by Joseph''s side, even if she could not win his heart. But with this slut’s
return, her chances were now even slimmer than before.
Tucking her hair behind her ear, Chloe casually remarked, "It has been five years, and you two
haven’t made anything official. How embarrassing."
This had caught Chloe by surprise. She assumed that after posting online, Joseph woulde to
Xavia’s defense. But to her astonishment, theizens instead ridiculed Xavia and pointed out that
she was not married into the Whitman family. Joseph remained single to this day and had distanced
himself from Xavia. But although she was not a good person, he was not any better.
"Shut up!" Xavia was stung by Chloe''s words, her face alternating between shades of red and white.
She turned to Joseph and said, "Joe, I came to find you today because of the online rumors. The
students at Jas’ school are using it to attack him. We have to suppress the rumors."
Joseph did not care for Xavia, but he cared for his son. Moreover, he saw Jasper as an
extraordinary child, valuing and respecting his son’s opinions. When public opinion had been
brewing, he had sought Jasper''s input. Jasper''s response was that he did not care about other
people''s opinions. Besides, intentionally suppressing trending rumors could be seen as "Where
there''s smoke, there''s a fire.”
"I''ve already told you that you no longer need to interfere in Jas'' affairs. As for custody rights, I''ve
consulted with awyer and drafted up an agreement. If you have any objections, we can meet in
court," Joseph coldly said.
Xavia was taken aback, forcing out a smile as she kindly reminded him, "Joe, that''s not what we''re
talking about right now."
"There''s no need for us to discuss anything else."
Her expression froze, unable to believe that Joseph would embarrass her like this.
Lucas intervened right then. "Sir, the forum is about to start."

Having seen enough of themotion, Chloe waved to Frieda. "I’m heading off now."
Frieda nced at Chloe, then at Joseph. After a brief pause, she suggested, "Ms. Chloe, why don’t
youe with me? They say the forum will be very insightful."
As a strange expression crossed her face, Chloe declined the invitation. Perhaps Frieda realized
the awkwardness of the situation, so she smiled in embarrassment and entered the venue alone,
clutching the invitation letter.
Chloe started the car and hit the elerator, skillfully maneuvering the vehicle out of its parking
space. Suddenly, a small figure stood in front of her car, extending their arms to block the way.
With a raised eyebrow, she remarked, "Filling in for Xavia, are we?"
The son appeared barely after the mother left. He must have been lurking in the shadows,
observing the situation for quite some time.
Jasper did not respond and instead got into the passenger seat. He then brought up a location on
his phone’s navigate app. "I want to take you somewhere."
Chloe responded, "I don''t want to go, thanks."
"Aren''t you curious about where we''re going?"
"Nope, not all."
Jasper remained unaffected by her indifference, calmly taking a sip of water before clearing his
throat. "If you refuse to go with me, I''ll report you for attempting to kidnap a minor."
"...Being as despicable as your father at such a young age isn’t a good look," Chloe retorted.
Jasper simply shrugged, appearing unfazed. "Let''s go then."

After Frieda entered Fairlight, Lucas quickly escorted her to the office. Before long, Joseph walked
in, holding a file containing Frieda’s personal information.
