    Joseph picked up his suit jacket from the floor and made his way toward the exit. Noah raised an


    eyebrow in perplexion as he was unsure of Joseph''s intentions.


    As Joseph reached the doorway, he paused and turned to face Noah. "You''re not so different from


    me."


    "What do you mean?" Noah asked.


    "In the name of doing good for her, you''re causing harm as well," Joseph replied.


    Noah furrowed his brows. He was about to test Joseph and see if he had learned anything, but


    Joseph left before he had the chance.


    Joseph sat in his car until the early hours of dawn. As the sun rose, the first ray of morning light


    pierced through the hazy clouds, brightening the world. He was not certain of Chloe''s fate, but he


    held onto the hope that she was still alive.

    Joseph''s car remained parked outside the Sullivan estate, and the butler informed Noah about the


    situation. "Mr. Joseph just sat in his car all night and left after sunrise."


    "Sunrise?"


    Noah gazed toward the sky where the sun had reached halfway up its daily path. All the living


    things below seemed to eagerly await its touch as if it were their unwavering source of hope. At this


    moment, Noah understood Joseph''s thoughts. If Chloe was alive, she would always look forward to


    the next day''s sun. And he was willing to step back for now, allowing her the time to heal her


    wounds.

    After leaving the Sullivan estate, Joseph returned to his usual self. Besides pouring all his time into


    work, nothing else changed. This situation left Lucas, who already had limited personal time, in a


    difficult position. He now found himself busier than ever. In the quiet of the night, he often yearned


    to share his troubles with someone.


    Thinking of Emily, he called her, only to receive a mechanical voice response. Lucas strongly


    suspected that Emily had blocked him because of Joseph, and the frustration weighed heavily on


    him. After several more unsessful attempts, he decided to stop trying and decided to cut off


    contact with her.

    Five yearster, Chloe stepped out of Docwood Airport. Noah smiled upon seeing her. He took her


    luggage from her hands and said, "Let''s go. The car’s nearby."


    In the car, Chloe removed her sunsses and closed her eyes. Noah understood that she must be


    exhausted after several hours on the ne, so he did not disturb her.


    The busy streets buzzed with life and excitement, and a massive screen adorning the front of a


    towering skyscraper showcased a picture of a young boy. Beneath the image was a long banner


    that read, "Happy fifth birthday, my son. I will always love you, Mom."


    Noah was stunned when he saw the boy. He instinctively looked toward Chloe, who had already


    opened her eyes and noticed the picture as well. Despite his tender age, the boy''s features were


    surprisingly striking. His eyes were like stars, and his face had a refined elegance akin to that of a


    little prince. He exuded a mature temperament that belied his years.


    Chloe suddenly felt a pang in her heart as a sense of familiarity surged through her.
