<h4>Chapter 8: Adventurer Academy Life Begins</h4>


    Two dayster, Shye''s eyes were sparkling as he arrived at the majestic entrance of the Colzen Adventurer Academy.


    The words "Colzen Adventurer Academy" were written in a huge and exotic font while the signboard was made from frostfire wood, one of the most luxurious types of wood avable in their region.


    After being mesmerized for a while, Shye was finally able to gather his wits and he proceeded forward.


    Not long after he entered, he heard some mocking voices around the entrance. They were mocking the other guys who were still dumbstruck in front of the academy gates.


    Fortunately, he managed to avoid the embarrassing encounter by being able to gather his wits a few seconds faster than the other guys who were still dumbstruck.


    His thoughts were cut short after he spotted a staff member who seemed to be one of the admission staff who would guide them through their admission process.


    Shye walked toward the end of the line and waited for his turn.


    While waiting, Shye looked at the academy grounds and his little heart couldn''t help but thump in anticipation.


    Just imagining the fun academy life ahead of him filled his heart with hope and excitement about their future.


    After waiting for a quarter of an hour, it was finally his turn.


    "Examinee number please."


    "Oh, here is my examinee number."


    He handed over his examinee number after the admission staff asked for it.


    "O-Oh! Examinee number 352, sir Shye Crowley, please proceed to premium dormitory number 76 on the west side of the academy grounds."


    "The top 20 examinees can either go home or choose to stay at the premium dormitories. In addition to this, they can bring one family member to live with them inside the academy grounds if they want."


    "However, please be informed that the family member would only be able to roam the academy grounds when apanied by the academy student who brought him/her inside the dormitories."


    "Your ss schedule is already inside your premium dormitory so there''s no need for you to queue up at the registrar''s office like the other low-ranked examinees."


    "Do you have any other questions, Sir Shye?"


    "Oh yes, I do have a question. I was informed that we will be given a f-few silver coins as one of the top 20 examinees. Where can I im it? Also, in what establishment are we supposed to im the monthly allowance?"


    Shye asked the admission staff.


    After hearing Shye''s question, the admission staff member pped his forehead.


    "Oh my! How could I forget about that? You may im the monthly allowance in the benefit and rewards building on the east side of the academy grounds. As for the 100 silver coins provided to those who finished in the top 20, they are already inside your premium dormitory."


    "A hundred silver coins...I see, thanks. I''ll head to my dorm now."


    "T-Thank you as well Sir Crowley, I wish you a happy academy life!"


    After exchanging a few pleasantries with the staff member, Shye walked quickly towards his premium dormitory.


    "I can''t believe it! A hundred silver coins right off the bat! That would be enough to feed Maia properly for a whole month!"


    He was very happy that he got a hundred silver coins on his first day at the academy.


    It seems that finishing at a high ranking really does help a lot!


    While walking, he couldn''t help but be mesmerized again. Just the sheer size of the campus grounds left him awestruck.


    In addition to therge campus grounds, there were huge signboards everywhere, multiple training grounds with weapon racks and equipment boxes, an archery range, fancy restaurants, and many more huge buildings with different purposes.

    After a few more minutes of walking, Shye arrived in front of his premium dormitory.


    "W-We''ll get to live here?"


    His eyes opened wide after seeing how huge the dormitory was. In his opinion, it should be called a manor!


    A few minutester, his shock was reced by a happy smile because he thought about how Maia would finally be able to sleep in afortable bed under a roof without holes.


    Shye tried turning the door knob to enter his dormitory but it was locked.


    "Hm? How do I open this?"


    He tried cing his examinee number in front of a device that seemed like a scanner of some sort.


    *CLACK*


    After hearing the sound of the door being unlocked, Shye tried opening the door again.


    "Oh, so that''s how you unlock it."


    This time, he was able to open the door sessfully.


    Shye eagerly entered his new premium dormitory and upon entering, he was shocked again.


    The walls of the entire dormitory were made from luxurious smooth stones with bright colors and there was high-quality furniture such as tables, soft chairs, a magic stone-powered television,


    In addition to this, there were two rooms with king-sized beds, lots of soft pillows, and a cozy nket.


    Just imagining Maia walking around in this huge manor and eating everything she wants fills his heart with happiness.


    He snapped out of his wonderful thoughts after seeing a sack of coins and a high-quality paper which seemed to be his daily schedule for the first semester on the table.


    Shye quickly grabbed the sack of coins and felt happy again after confirming that there were indeed a hundred silver coins there.


    He ns to fetch Maiater and bring her back here so they can eat to their heart''s content together.


    After checking the bag of silver coins, he checked the paper that contained his daily ss schedule.


    "Hmm...So my sses would be from 7:00 AM up to 2:00 PM every day huh? Good thing that I still have lots of time to train on my own."


    "My training time was limited due to our limited food sources but now, I can train to my heart''s content!"


    Shye thought to himself.


    After settling down, it was finally time for his first ss. He left his dormitory and quickly headed to the assigned ssroom with a bit of excitement in his heart.


    Unbeknownst to him, after using his examinee number card to unlock the dormitory, it magically changed into a gold identification card.


    Shye finally arrived at his ssroom after a few minutes of walking and once he entered the room, his ssmates started whispering among themselves.


    "Hey, look! That''s Shye Crowley. He defeated Alexander Smith who was ranked 16 as a seeded candidate!"


    "Holy shit! I can''t believe that I''m in the same ss as Shye Crowley!"


    After hearing the whispers from the male students, some of the female students started to blush as they looked at Shye with sparkling eyes.


    On the contrary, Shye was feeling ufortable since he wasn''t used to such treatment yet.


    Still, he didn''t know why but deep inside him, he was feeling good about all the attention that he was getting from his ssmates.

    He was even more embarrassed after getting confirmation from the system that some of his ssmates were currently admiring him.


    Shye took a seat at the back of the ssroom and stared out at the window while waiting for the ss to start.


    A few minutester, a sexy woman dressed in skin-tight office attire entered the room.


    He and his male ssmates couldn''t help but stare at the hot woman who just entered.


    "What are you guys looking at? Am I sexy? Huh? You want me to kill you guys right now?!"


    Shye''s lewd thoughts were cut short after hearing that the woman was furious due to their lustful stares.


    Seeing that the male students stopped staring lustfully at her, the woman was satisfied and introduced herself.


    "I''m Fienna Evans and I shall be your beginnerbat instructor."
