    Allie felt displeased when she thought of the possibility that Cayden had registered his marriage with


    Avery and kept it a secret from Jeffrey and herself.

    Lily picked up her coffee and red at Allie as she said calmly, “Even if she''s putting on an act, at least


    she''s serious about doing work instead of being a parasite that relies on men, unlike some women who

    Jeffrey also felt his head ache when he heard the two women argue. He ced a cigarette between his


    lips and took a deep breath.


    He turned to look at his daughters-inw quarrel. Massaging his temples, he said, “That''s enough. The


    children are all at home. You two better stop it!”


    Allie was dissatisfied. “Dad, you saw it too. It''s always Lily who''s looking for trouble. She often criticizes


    and insults me. Is it wrong for me to defend myself? I know you''re protecting her, but you can''t be too


    biased all the time. Since Bruce left, my days in the Moore residence have been difficult. If it weren''t for

    Jeffrey nodded in satisfaction. “All right. You two are brothers, so you should love and help one another.
