Nicole''s relentless insults caused a hint of embarrassment to manifest on Evangeline''s face.
Earlier on, Evangeline was still in a blissful state and thought that things were starting to get better for
her. Little did she realize that her happiness would be short-lived, and she was utterly shocked by the

It was only after a long while that Evangeline returned to her senses. She turned stiffly and looked at
Nicole. “You knew that I wasn''t rted to the Lambert family. Why, then, have you tampered with the

Nicole replied ambiguously, “For the past few days, you have seen with your own eyes how badly Mom
wants to find her long-lost daughter. Unfortunately, she has been unable to locate her, and it upsets her

Evangeline was still confused. “But, why did you pick me in the end?”
Nicole answered with a sneer, “Do you really think that I want to choose you? You just happen to

It hurt so bad that Evangeline began to tear up. She instantly paled upon hearing Nicole''s threats.
“Please, I beg of you. Please don''t tell them the truth. I will do anything you ask of me,” she pleaded.
Although Evangeline had only stayed with the Lambert family for three days, she had fully experienced
the luxury of being part of the high society. There was no need to worry about money, and she could

first. Remember what you say tonight. If not, I''ll make your life hell!”
Evangeline pretended to look scared, but in truth, she was gritting her teeth.

The little girl began to raise her arms and one of her legs to dance along with the music. She spun
around and leaped into the air. Every one of her movements was urate and gentle at the same time.

Avery was seated among the audience, and she was pping so hard that her palms were turning red.
She stared at Rory and could not believe that her own daughter was such an outstanding dancer.

Avery shook her head. That man was a genius in business. However, he was clumsy when it came to
dancing. Is Rory simply talented?
