Chapter 527 Change Is Coming
“Imbecile! What an imbecile!” A roar rang out from Jeffrey''s ward in the hospital.
The moment he woke up, the first thing he saw was a barrage of negative news about Cayden being
broadcasted on television. He was so incensed that he smacked away the medicine the nurse was
holding, causing everything to spill on the floor.
The poor nurse stood to the side, trembling and at a loss.
“Dad, you just woke up. The doctor said you shouldn''t get too emotional.” Although Lily appeared to be
consoling Jeffrey, she was gloating deep inside.

wrong with me turning on the TV for him? Is it my fault for wanting to make him morefortable? How

you have there. I can''t believe he canceled his engagement with Mr. Lambert''s daughter in front of

She didn''t expect to hear about Kendrick dating the governor''s daughter right after Cayden called off
his engagement with Nicole.
When Jeffrey heard that Kendrick was dating someone of high status, his anger subsided.
“Kendrick, why didn''t you tell us that you got a girlfriend? Invite her to our house someday so we can
see if she''s suitable for you. You''re not young anymore. Your brother already has three kids, and it''s
time for you to build your own family,” he advised gently.
Having been utterly disappointed by Cayden, Jeffrey could only ce his hope on Kendrick now.
“I got it, Grandpa...” Kendrick answered stiffly, though he didn''t mean it at all.
Just then, Cayden walked in with his assistant, Xavier.
At the sight of his grandson, Jeffrey hurled a cup at him. “You imbecile! Why did youe here?
You''ve disgraced the Moore family with your unsavory affairs!”
Cayden caught the cup and ced it on the table at the side. “Grandpa, why are you so angry? You
know I''m busy. I barely managed to spare some time to visit, so I don''t want to argue with you.”
“I don''t want to see you right now. Leave!” boomed Jeffrey with a scowl.
In spite of that, the corner of Cayden''s mouth quirked up. “It seems that you''ve recovered, judging from
how energetic you are. Well then, I''ll leave. Make sure to take a good rest, and if you need anything,
feel free to contact Mr. Dartsley. I''ll get out of your sight now.”
With that, he strode out of the ward.
As Jeffrey watched Cayden leave, he almost passed out from rage.
