    Avery''s heart kept racing whenever she took a whiff of Cayden''s body scent. It took her a while for her


    to stop panting ande to her senses.


    “Did you have a nightmare?” Cayden nted a kiss on the woman''s forehead and tucked her hair


    behind her ears. He looked at her porcin-white face and wet eyes andforted her. “I''m here with


    you, don''t worry.”


    Avery was relieved that it was just a dream.


    When she opened her eyes and looked around, she realized the actual world was not as bad as she


    had imagined.


    She grabbed Cayden''s muscr back with one hand and clenched the man''s shirt with her other hand.


    Upon hearing his words offort, she opened her mouth, but words caught in her throat.

    It took Avery a while to realize she was holding onto Cayden. She eventually released him and


    retracted her hands.

    “I''m sorry. I''ll help you iron it.” Avery did not know what else to say.


    When she was about to get up from the bed, Cayden pulled her into his chest and uttered


    authoritatively, “Get back here and sleep. It''s still early.”


    Avery could feel the warm moisture in the man''s breath on her ear and cheek, and she could feel how


    close they were.

    Cayden had no idea what her dream was about. He walked over and tried to wake her up.


    Avery continued to mumble words that Cayden could not understand.


    He went up and leaned sideways on the bed. While he was embracing her, holding her hand, and


    kissing her forehead tofort her, he could hear the woman clearly, “Don''t leave. Please don''t leave.”


    Cayden could not help but knit his brows upon hearing those five words. She must be dreaming of


    something that''s bothering her.


    He did not know who appeared in her dream. Who is she begging so miserably?


    Cayden thought Avery must have longed for motherly love since she had never experienced it since

    Just like Zachary and Rory, they had never asked about their mommy and would suffer in silence. But

    voice, “Daddy, please bring my clothes and shoes after school today. It''s almost autumn now, so please


    bring my winter clothes and shoes too.”


    After turning on the television, Cayden put down the remote control and asked, “Do you n to live


    here?”


    “Why not? Do you want me to return to that house where no one knows the meaning of love?” Zachary,


    who was walking to the door while lifting his pants, turned around to look at the serious man on the


    couch. “You''re busy, aren''t you? You used to tell us so. And you said you didn''t have time to take care

    bedroom. Avery finally woke up after sleeping for another half an hour.

    After leaving the bathroom, Avery walked to the living room. The living room was still quite dark as the


    closed curtains deterred the morning sun from entering. As Avery inched closer, she saw Cayden


    sleeping on the couch with a frown after the morning news ended.
